First Box Grow (First Grow ever) 1x 130w dual spec CFL + 1x 130w 2700k CFL

Hey there, just thought I'd start posting about the setup I'm working on and try and get some feedback, maybe a few tips, or maybe even help another beginner figure out how to start.
So basically I'll be using Auto Berry Ryder seeds, under 1 dual spec 130w cfl and 1 warm 130w cfl in a tent thats about 80(H)x45(D)x80(W). I'm planning on creating a really simple carbon filter and exhuast, though not quite sure how to go about that.
This will serve as my grow journal and as something for you to have a look at

Just wondering, what would be the most simple DIY adjustable hanger system i could make? Also, am I using too much or too little light? I think i might be only growing 2-3 plants depending on how big my final pots are going to be.
Definitely going to take a few snaps when its a bit more set up right now its mostly in boxes cause i don't have everything yet. Hopefully get this started in the next week or so

Hey man! Sounds like a nice setup, might want to get more light though, 130w per plant is good but your tent is big so get more lights, use cool white for veg and warm(soft) white for flowering. Try to get 100w per plant. You can maximize your yield by putting up a scrog screen ( go google it or look on the site). Just fix your lights to a piece of wood and keep it about 2inches way from the plant, hang it with string, to stoned to remember how to make a carbon filter but google it, and use pc fans for the intake and out take. What nutes are you going to use ?

Hey, thanks for posting. Yeah i think ill end up doing 2 with the lights i have as money is a bit tight but thats a good way to make a hanger. Ive seen some simple DIY carbon filters that look easy to make so it shouldnt be too much trouble. Not really sure on nutes either, people just say names but where i am its a bit hard to find the ones everyone talks about. Could you reccommend what NPKs id be using for the plants cycle?

Sorry for the late reply, yah man 2 plant gonna be great! At veg stage you give them a nute that says 24-8-16 the packed, cause its high in nitrogen. U can basicly use any nute and experiment with it, at the begining don't give full dose as you do not know how. The plant wil react to it and how strong it is, you can always up the dose a lil later, for flowering stage use one that says 0-7-14. The thing about nutes is everyone uses a diffrent one. Hey dude At the moment I've got a veg nute thats like 7-10-5 or something which i will just monitor and dosage accordingly and my flower nute is like 2-7-20 i think so i will just monitor that carefully too. Gonna get ready for their germ over the next week or so, still waiting on some PH buffer to come in the mail. Excited! Will post picures when it's all set up.

Okay yeah man that nutes can work, just as long as the N is high in veg stage and the K is high in flower stage! And can't wat to see your set up dude! I'm doing a super stealth grow that I'm switching to flowering ( 12/12 ) from the first day the seeds germed. It also a scrog. Did u manage the carbon filter?

Yeah i've ordered some fans and i've acquired some activated carbon sheets which should do just fine I'm so excited to start!

Was thinking just between two wet towels on in a piece of sponge. I've heard thats the best way to do it. Then leave it the dark

Try putting it in a Ziplock bag, to keep it moist.

What size pots should i use for my plants? like other than my small seedling pots? Whats a good size, would 5L do?

Yes! 5L would do, I hear lots of people saying they use gallon pots, I personaly use 2-3L pots because I grow smaller plants.

Yeah well my plants are pretty small autos anyway so should be fine should i plant into a smaller pot and transplant or not put the plant under that stress and put the seedling directly into a big pot?

i just bought jiffy pots could i plant my seedlings in them and just put those straight into my big pots?

Hahaha I just about to recoment that, if you transplant your plant you can break the micro roots giving it the posibility of being a male. So use Jiffy pots and plant the strait away in the big pot.
