First Batch.. Need some halp

Alright guys well I've made my first batch.. I got maybe a gram off of two runs from the same oz. The material I used is extremely frosty so there might be at least another run left in it. I have my results attached in the first two pics. I'll provide a summary of my process so you all can help me out to achieve better yield.

First I blasted into a pyrex dish over hot water (idk no what temp. it was at) then let the butane bubble until it stopped reacting. Once it finished I scraped what I had gotten onto a oil slick pad and put it in the vac and purged for about 4 hours or so (i would turn the vac on then turn it off and release the air then repeat). This is what I have gotten.. It's clumped onto of itself because it's extremely sticky. The pyrex dish looks to have maybe some leftover wax but I'm not sure.

Any suggestions on how I can improve? Mind you all, this is my very first batch on my own using equipment I've purchased so bear with me I still need to find a good routine method to perfect results so any input is much appreciated. Thanks.

hmm if it was a decent oz, it seems you should have gotten more than that. another thing to try is buying the oil slick wax paper and put it into the pyrex dish. that way when its all done you can quickly throw it in the freezer then break it off into a oil slick ball or something else. That way you dont have much if any loss like you do with the stuff still stuck to the pyrex. Does it still bubble under vacuum?

No I turned it back on and nothing. I do have parchment paper though. I have a pyrex dish that I place into larger one that's filled with boiling water. Should I lay parchment paper into the dish then blast then freeze it?

What does anyone suggest I do when transferring the wax from pyrex to oil slick pad? it dries up pretty quickly for me and becomes very sticky and is difficult to handle. any suggestions?

Sometimes ill scrape it off as soon as the liquid butane is gone and throw it on a silicon mat or paper or whatever and let it air out over night and then put it into the vac

I've not found a shortcut to scraping, however, warming the pyrex on a heat mat will soften the film of oil for easier scraping.

Some blast directly onto a sheet of ptfe in a bowl. I've not tried this personally.

the closest thing

the closest thing i have to a heat mat or griddle is a larger pyrex dish filled with boiling water. i need to save up to get a griddle though.. they're some nice ones for like $40 at target.

Anyway, here's what I just blasted today. What should I do next at this point in the process?? I turned my vacuum off but kept the pressure and plan to get clean air in there in the next hour or so.

Is your chamber warmed to keep the oil between 110 and 115f? The bubbles should escape and the oil collapse into a puddle that gradually allows big bubbles out.

An IR thermometer is indispensable. Note metal surfaces don't read correctly but the oil temp will read.
what would u suggest i do? right now the batch is in my fridge so i can handle easier... should i just go ahead and buy a griddle? Because I really want to make shatter but I think it's not coming out that way because I have no heat while it's purging.

You need a source of heat. A heat mat, griddle...

You need to quantify heat applied, so the IR thermometer is pretty indispensable.

Ok. So once I get a griddle, would I place it beneath my vac chamber and set it to desired heat and start the purge process over again?

Pretty much, will take a few readings of oil temp and incremental increase of temperature to hit the desired temperature. Some griddles won't work, as they run to hot. I use a heat mat personally.

yea i was just on the target website and all of their griddles don't go lower than 150f :P

do you know of any heat mats i can get from walmart?
