Hello all i have recently moved into a new house and because i live by myself i have a spare bedroom and a big one at that !! in it i decided to place a 2.0 x 2.0 grow tent which fits with plenty of space around the outside, i think i could have gone 2.4 x 2.4 and still had room.
I ordered my cuttings and the day they were due i was let down, because im renting i had a time limit before im due an inspection so there was no time to waste off to the seed shop, i explaned that i needed something fast and easy and he talked about Autos, iv never looked into them or anything so he could have told me they produce kilos a plant and i wouldnt have doubted him, i kew nothing.
I ended up walking away with 20 Fast Bud #2 seeds, its claimed they are ready in 7 weeks from seed, looking at these grows with fast bud it looks more like 10-11 weeks, but still one grow i saw had 16 plants and it claims it was roughly 2.2 oz per plant, not bad but then i read people getting 20 grams per plant !!!
So i popped them in some tissue and off they were, after a few days all 20 had popped open and looked healthy, now because i was going to use cuttings all the pots i was going to use were ready and full of coco so i put the seedlings straight into 10ltr pots -- bad idea i now know, its taken them ages to do anything but over the past few days, they have started shooting up like crazy with the odd 1 still struggling, having looked at them today i decided to pull 5 of them as they hadnt done a thing so now i have 15 which look ok and are growing good.
I have got a problem with the leaves curling at the sides on a few of the plants but upon searching the forum it looks like no one really has a good idea what causes it, and could be a handfull of things, something ill keep my eye on,
At the moment all the plants are under 1x 600w hps on 24/7 but im hoping to put another in the next week or two when they get abit bigger.
just to make it clear the 15 plants will be under 2 600w hps lights eventually, will this be ok ???
1) Should i be turning the lights to 20/4 or even 18/6 at any point or just keep them at 24/7 ??
2) when they start flowering should i continue with full light or knock it to 12/12 ??
Through out the grow im going to be using Canadian xpress nutrients, Growth, Bloom and Head Master, its a nutrient that i like, its easy and gives good results.
At the moment im feeding 1 cap full of growth to every 5 litres of water, which i will increase as thy get bigger right up to 5 caps per 5ltrs - its how iv done it before with no problems.
Iv got some pics iv taken today which for some reason wont upload, its slow uploading them which i put down to my dongle , ill get a friend to upload hem via his broad band as its quicker in the next few days.
If anyone has any advice or sees anything im doing wrong please let me know as i dont know much !!
