First Attempt indoor ghetto grow CFL

hell ya the sun kicks the shit out of any light......even if it's only out there for a few hours

Hey, its looking really great so far. I just started my own journal just a couple days ago. I will be watching this thread for maybe some ideas. great stuff here and I wish I could use the sun but its still 0 degree's here so I can't =/. Instead I have an two 85 watt CFL's, check it out if you want. I noticed that you mentioned that some people just fall off the face of the earth during your grow journal and I agree, I've had a little bit of that problem as well. It's great to have feedback. I wish you luck with the rest of your grow. I have a link to my first grow as well in my signature.

You really should, in the 3 hours of sun, the plant seems to grow as much or more as the remaining 8 hours of CFL. Also I am uploading pics as we speak, shes looking great.

Here are some pics from this morning. She is starting to fill out pretty good. You can see the missing branch near the top in the second pic from when the light fell. I tried to get a good shot of the pistils on the last pic so tell me if you see any, its really hard to see cus its out of focus. the 4th pic is the burnt top, its startin to look a little better and actually has a few pistils shooting out from under the burnt.

on a side note, my lighting is now 11/13, 13 being dark, I am running out of room fast so I want the flowering to be quick. I think ill change to 10/14 in a week or two to push it even more.

Well I managed to fuck shit up again, the light fell again bending a few more branches. This happened while I was trying to fit another light in there. Got the light in so now I have 2 23 watt 2,700k bulbs. I got it set up so one bulb gets the top of the plant and the other gets the bottom of the plant, because it was getting so tall the lower leaves didnt get any light at all, only about half the leaves got enough light. Hopefully she recovers quickly from the damage I gave it so she can start usin all the extra lumens. Im at 3200 lumens now, still not that great but way better than 1600. Gonna water and take pics tomorrow.

Man I'm pretty sure you can just bend these things over and fuck them in the ass, and they come right back like a cheap whore. Looks great man, when I got to the part when you found out it was a girl I was pumped. Hopefully I'll be there in a couple weeks. I'll check back in. Smoke one.

Hey Kevdank, shit is always going to happen when going weed. It's a good thing that weed is resilient and will bounce back before you know it. Just watch those lights and she will still give you a decent yield

damn man that sucks it happened again...but hey look sometimes they grow a whole bunch of new tops from where you accidentaly fuck them up so it could work out nicely

ya woulda been better if it was still in veg though, luckily the damage wasnt too bad the second time it dropped, only 1 branch still looks effected, its droopy but still looks alive.

took some pics today, you can finally see the buds forming. In person it looks much better. The last pic is just how I have my lights set up. It seems like she may have stretched a tiny bit but hopefully the added light will keep that to a minimum. In some pics you can really notice the missing branch and the fucked up leaves at the top from when it got burned. The third pic you can see the flowers the best, just look at the secondary branches, most of them have pistils shooting out. Also Im startin to get some sugar specks around the flowers, its gettin frosty


edit- I just noticed I forgot to upload the best pic, it was a close up of the top nug. It is a pain to upload so you will have to wait till next time I take pics.

ill probably upload tomorrow, the camera is so low resolution its hard to tell the day by day difference, I cant really get any close up nug shots cus it just turns out blurry

Quick update: just wanted to share that after my last watering she really grew nicely, the sugar is spreading and the preflowers look more like real flowers now, all covered in fuzzy goodness. I noticed a couple small flies around the plant, they look almost exactly like fruit flies, does cannabis attract fruit flies or could it be something more sinister? There was like 3 of them, 4 at the most.
