False. Everything began with metal halide back in the 70's. You can bloom plants with either MH or HPS. HPS has higher par output and is more effective that why people use it.

I like to mix HPS and MH to be able to get the internodal length I want. Plants stretch less under MH lighting. MH output more uv-b than HPS creating more frost and it grows stouter plants, ideal for indoor growing.
so your saying don’t change the bulb. Cause the CMH is still in lol

No if you have healthy growth in veg, don't change it. I believe CMH bulbs supposed to be "full spectrum bulbs". I've seen great result with CMH from start to finish. They typically range from 3000~ 4000k.

You could add HPS into the mix to increase harvest, it all depends on your situation. How much wattage you use and type of reflector/hood. It's really hard to bloom with 600w HPS without a proper vented hood in a tent for example.

I run just an unvented reflector 600W and I’m able to keep heat at 80 with 4” in and out cranked to full

Filling out! The girls are almost fully recovered from stress. She's praying towards the light. Switched to MC today at 1.2 EC.

Interesting to so see what happens if anything. They will probably be fully recovered in a couple of days. Getting close to do the flip! Roots look really good. Every single spray nozzle is completely covered with fuss. They still get completely saturated from every spray, you don't really need a large rooting chamber for Aeroponics.

But I think this is more like a hybrid system. The plants can take up water and nutrient from the solution with every spray and they can also passively drink from the water droplets covering the walls of the filter bags.

Installed a new hood yesterday. Combined 800w, 400/400w HPS/MH under my old modified Aerowing hood. Temps are up to 85-86F which I consider optimal. Increased timings on the humidifier, humidity is at 55-65%.. They seem to like the new "sun" :eyesmoke:

New tops popping up over the net every day. They seems to have put another gear in with the increased light. They slurp up a lot of water. Feels good to have some days for them acclimatize to the new light before flowering.

Installed some new air duct lines and carbon filter today. I also moved the inline fan outside the tent to remove some heat from the fan and also be able to shorten the air duct lines inside the tent. Up from 125 to 160mm lines.

Will take some pictures at first day of flower. :peace:

Did some basic sketches on a 3 stage carbon filter box system. Probably going to build it tomorrow.

Will be a total of 4 carbon filters in the room. 2 filters in push pull configuration and one exhaust fan + filter. The last one is setup outside the tent to remove any smell in the ambient air outside the tent.

Day 13 in flower. The 3-stage filter box worked like a charm. Reduced smell to nothing outside the perimeter. Sprayed 20ppm of Triacontanol 2 days ago. They responded well. This is before defoliating:

Made another net to support colas in the upcoming weeks. EC is 1.1 and I could probably go even lower than that. She's a low feeder.
This is after defoliating and net installation:

Healthy bulky trees !

She will probably flower for another 8-9 weeks. She's a very bushy lady. I don't have nearly as much time as I would like to trim her. See you tomorrow or in another week  ! Hope you all have a happy New year! ☮

Status Update:

Times been a little bit weird lately. I don't know where my companion is or what's up with him. I think he got some personal issues he's trying to figure out. I don't have any updates on the grow. Last time I was on location was 8th of January. Haven't heard from him since. Talked a little bit with his girlfriend and she says he's really struggling. I think he has opiate withdrawals, time will tell.

Its not easy being out of the blue. I'm not keeping my hopes up. In a couple of months I will have my own grow space. Finally some freedom. Cheers!
