So, its the 2nd of May and im still watering a giving the 3 girls nutes as I think their flowers are still developing.

Take a look at the pictures please and let me know what you think. I have read that some can take up to 12 weeks, so perhaps I'm doing the right thing. I dont want to loose out if the lower flowers still have more to go and also the possibility of much bigger top buds.

But I also do not want to get to the stage where the plants are past the point of being good to smoke... if thats at all possible?

I think it might be a good idea to perhaps cut off one of the branches with buds, allow it to dry and sample it. What do you think?

Feedback always welcome from all.

Thanks very much!

Go for it dude. take a sample bud, that isnt uncommon. With strains taking 12 weeks those are sativa strains, which require a longer flowering period than indicas. Hell man, if you see new growth than I cant object to you letting em go longer. They're looking good man, specially the third one. I applaud you for you patience.

Cheers Ryhmes...

I honestly have no idea what strain they are, but as long as they are looking healthy, yeah imma go for it. I gave them their last big helping of nutes today. I think if I flush them then next time the top soil gets dry with plenty of fresh water, then just water them when required with fresh non nuted water for 2 more weeks. Then let the soil dry again 1 week after the last watering and then I will take my sample. :)

Oh and btw... Remember the clones I made? (pics a few pages back). Well here they aregrowing nice, and looking good! All 4 clones are in 12/12 now and so many flower clusters are forming already, its awesome!

I know it looks a bit cramped for space with all the green family members together, but soon the 3 big girls will be out, allowing space for the 4 clones.

More to come!

Hi all...

Here are the clones, growing very fast indeed... they have doubled in height in the past week!

I still have a week or 2 before I cut the 3 girls down and then I will experience my first harvest. (Oh, i did cut a sample bud off today.... i placed it in a dark box hanging upside down, i trimed it a little and will sample it in a few days time and will keep u posted).

Getting closer... :)

:D its working dude. I'm all smiles man!

I cut the one u liked (that 3rd pic, u commented on), just yesterday and so soon I'll have my first complete plant ready. Im still looking up info on the best drying methods and for what time periods etc... If u have any nice ideas, please let me know.

I totally forgot to make pics of how i trimmed down the plant...(it was during a sample session), anyways... I have it upside down in a nice cosy dark box that i will check on once a day.

I still have the other 2 big girls showing slow signs of growth - thin long tips from the tops and getting a bit fatter too. I'm thinking, perhaps I should have waited before cuting my first plant. I suppose its all a bit of an experiment for me, so its cool to do things a bit differently and see what i prefer.

As i've mentioned before, i have no clue as to strain, but yeah, im pleased to say its working nice :) wooohoo!

congrats man. I hang dry mine for 4 days or until the buds feel a little crispy but the stems are still bendy. After that I put them in paper grocery bags for 2 days. Opening 1-2 times a day to burp them. After day 2 they head into the jars for 2 weeks. This seems to work for me.

y0 y0 y0!!!

** Update Update Update **

All is well, I have continued sampling the plant every now and then :p

Here is a pic of my mini drying box, which isn't really much, but seems to be getting the job done. I've also placed a sample in a jar just this moment and will air it once a day, (let's see how that goes). Looks like a more improved version of a 'ship in a bottle', hehehe.

I really am pleased with the effects so far, I love the sparkly crystals and especially that I grew em myself :D

Cheers! :)
