Yeah dude, it will increase your yeild, especially if you use a little lst so the branches are all getting the same amount of light. You might have the 2 main colas be a little bigger, but they should be relatively even.
Ok... Here's the latest:

I have brightened up the box and its all nice n bright now :) I used white self-adhiesive glossy vinyl. 1 more pic. (sorry if its sideways).

Problem is, with all the early posts warning me of the size and to switch to 12/12, its been that way now for 2 days, (including the additional 2700K CFLS, which I belive was the right idea so its warmer). So Im in flowering mode now, which has possibly buggered the idea of topping and maybe even cloning?

Or perhaps everything will be fine, and i can simply monitor the growth and trim it or tie tops if at all required; and still manage to clone after i know the sex?

This was the only box i hoped to use. I might be able to make a much smaller one just to start the clones in 18/6, until the its time to get the big ones out of the big box, to harvest.

Thanks again fellow growers, for all your advice with my setup.

You can still tie the tops down without any problem, as long as you do it somewhat gradually-- don't snap the stems or joints, don't stress the plant. I wouldn't top the plant while in flowering. You want the plant devoting all of its energy to making luscious bud, not repairing its injuries, not to mention that some stresses on a plant can cause it to herm out.

You can clone after sex gets expressed, but cloning requires reverting at least the cutting to vegetative growth. Some people have found that cloning from a plant in flowering decreases clone survival rate.

This is really the big problem. You can't have some plants in flowering and some plants in vegetative growth without having separate chambers with separate light cycles.

Thank you all yet again for the feedback... This is day 3 now of 12/12, but prior to seeing the previous post i topped the plants and i did some LST on 3 that were still with a flexible stem. (2 more pics).

*Important question*
Its been 3 days of 12/12, and having just read the previous advice, should I change back to 18/6 so the plant can recover from topping and the LST process, or is it too late and I should stick to 12/12.

Oh man, what a mess I may have made, i hope i have'nt confused the plants too much. I was trying to make things better not worse.

Thanks for future replies.

Just leave them in flowering man. They will be alright. Its going to take around 2 weeks for them to start the actual flowering process anyways. They're hardy plants, they will be fine.

Thanks Rhymes... yeah I managed to livechat with someone who said the same and added that (when i mentioned i was'nt using any miracle grow), to use some 'bloom booster' for the next few weeks to help it.

I only purchsed good quality soil and grew them with water air and light, but its what everyone says, so ill get some nutes in 2moro!

Yes to all that. Once you have the plants in flowering it doesn't make sense to go back. You can probably relax.

in about 10 days post some pics will be able to tell a lot better.from the looks of it im leaning toward girls.keep your fingers crossed.
Hi,

Here are the latest pics after about 10 days of 12/12. There are many new shoots after the LST as you will see and also 1 double and 1 quad main tops have developed from 2 plants i topped.

Some are bushier at the bottom, others have thicker stems. They are also starting to smell more, of which some are stonger smells than others, one even seems like it has a slight hint of mint smell.

I can also see more hairy, (fury), stems and i think i can now start seeing the 2 longer white hairs on the taller ones, but it might be new shoots, not sure 100%

Feedback welcome.

I will post more updates soon.

Thanks.

Keep an eye on em. Should be showing sex any day.
Hi everyone...

Latest update:

I think all are female! I have added more pics and hopefully you guys can confirm from what u see.

Im still spraying the leaves and watering with nutes etc... they are looking nice n healthy.

Is it ok for me to cut off some of the big leaves at the top to allow more light for the lower areas? or is cutting them off not a good idea at this stage?

Any further advice welcome.

Thanks.

Looking good bro. I wouldnt cut off any fan leaves until later flowering, when your plant is more mature. I cant tell for sure from your pics on sex but it sticks out like a sore thumb once you recognize them. Just look for white hairs and you will be good.

yep. male.

Thanks for the confirmation, shame i guess.

So, any looking like that must be removed and destroyed straight away, right? If i have to take it away from the others right now, is it even good for anything now, or i just destory it and throw it away?

i started to see some flowering forming at the 2 top heads of this plant and i was thinking it was female, but its my first time ever doing this so I will soon learn.

Thanks my friend for the hints n tips :)

Ok, i think i found a female please confirm.

I also think i have a male, if u can let me know that it is for sure and if theres nothing i can get out of the male, then i will throw it away.

Thanks.
Pic 1 female, pic 2 male, pic 3 female

Males are useless really unless you want to do some breeding or just get some more viable seeds. Mine get cut and tossed as soon as they show their balls.

Thanks Rhymes!

I'll get rid of the males right away then.

So far i think i have got 2 females out of 5, there might be a possible 3rd girl, but not yet confirmed.

I will let you guys know how things go and post some more pics.

At least all was not for nothing, now i must clone the girls pronto! Im gonna read up on cloning now.

Thanks again for all the feedback.

I would really consider more height at least, I would say 2 metres orso. What strain is it?
Consider more height in what context please? I'm sorry, but i have no idea what strain they are, all i can say is i got them from the far south of europe which is near a nice place just across the straits. :) (someone previously posted in this thread saying they looked more sativa, but i dont know.)

Hey Rhymes, got me another female my friend! So that 3 out of 5 confirmed.

Here are some pics of 2 clones from 1 and 1 each from the other 2 i discovered were girls. I read a bit about cloning, i dunno if as they were in 12/12 already it will be more difficult, but i did all i thought, which is:

Correct cut angle, dipped in nutes for roots, placed stem in moist new good quality soil, sprayed leaves and placed them inside a makeshift enclosure (2 X upside down jugs). If u look closley u can already se the sondensation forming inside.

I think i'm on the right track, please feel free to point me further in the right direction.

Im so pleased i got 3 out of 5 for my first own-home-grown.

oh and just in case u guys ask... yes the 2 males are gone.

Thanks all!
