cause I dint know =)

Im not sure what im going to do anymore. Im getting a 1000w cooltube with the glass which would protect any explosion. Plus I know MH can explode, but not sure about HPS. I even heard I could have bought fireproof wood and just made my box of that.
As the other poster suggested getting drywall, that is alot cheaper idea than that paint. There is a fire block drywall that is used mainly in apartments as a fire barrier. This type is used where two apartments back up together and is designed to help slow a fire down from spreading into other units.

You need to know what the fire triangle is. A fire needs three things to burn, air, fuel and heat. These three things create the triangle. If you remove just one side of this triangle, the fire will go out or will not burn to begin with.

The BIGGEST thing to make sure of is that you don't have anything REALLY flammable nearby. Most times electrical fires won't burn a whole lot (that is why there are fuses/breakers/etc.) unless there is something that is flammable nearby. I have seen a few electrical furnace fires that just scorched a wall and caused some smoke damage. Now if you had put newspaper all around your furnace for some reason and it shorted out and caused a small fire then you might have more to worry about.

Just keep your area tidy - don't leave papers or clothes in your grow and don't cover your box with a sheet. If there is a small fire it will most likely go out before catching the house on fire.

Just try to set a piece of plywood or treated lumber on fire without accelerant and you will see what I mean.
