And they aren't just randomly murdering tourists, if you actually read the stories (and in depth, not just what one reporter thinks). You seem to be a headline reader, and not someone that actually gets into details. Maybe if you did you WOULD know something about Central and South America.

What part of Mexico are you going to Fin? There are some places that are just not safe for anyone, but lots of places I feel safer walking around at 3 in the morning than I do at home! Just got back from Puerto Vallarta 3 weeks ago, friendly ass place. Where else can you get high fived by every mexican you see walking back to your resort from the bar downtown @ 3 am. That being said there are some parts of mexico you should not go to unless you are mexican. They think if you can afford to travel there that you are from a rich family who will pay lots to get you back, in a body bag... Good Luck!

I'm going to get into their (and my) culture, ya'll don't have to worry about me. I'm not going to pick up Kilos of bud/coke/heroine for resale. I'm going to make some hash for myself and people I meet, make some friends, buy some cool stuff and learn some shit.

i don't know why you think i'm buck but you are wrong. i don't even sound like him.

i've been to australia 3 times. doesn't make me an expert on the country. jsut cause you've been to a few "resort" or "tourist" areas in mexico doesn't make you knowledgeable about the country and definitely not an expert on central and south america.

i was just tying to be helpful and maybe steer you in a better direction considering the amount of experience i have. but hey, go to mexico and get kidnapped. i'm sure it will make a great toke and talk thread.
