Finished my 8 plant dwc grow white widow

so I thought I would run 8 plants this time. White widow from nirvana. My single plant grow went amazing and really put out a lot of beautiful crystally buds. But I ran into a problem with bud mold because my home ac went out of whack. By the time I fixed it I would say I lost about 2-3 ozs to it. I didn’t take a chance and harvested about 10 days early. Lost some thickness but the volume of it all is just over whelming. I did a two plant grow of big bud and got 22 ozs. That shit took me and baby girl 9 days to trim after drying. This shit right here looks like a fuckin 3 week trim. I think I’ll stick to 3 plants maximum for now on. If you zoom in on the single bud you can see it just layered in crystals

Oh yea I got plenty of pics during the cycle. A quick update I ran the dehumidifier all day and night. It’s taken 3 gallons of water out the tent so far they look like the third or fourth day drying so I’m going to shut it off tomorrow morning and let them finish normally. I won’t know til the trim but I say at least two lbs. nugs are chunky only one fluffy big plant so I’m gonna keep that one for me. Grow went well which mine usually do. Biggest rip I learned is if you’re running indica plants make sure the humidity is 45-55% max. The biggest colas were the ones to succumb to bud rot no telling what the yield would have been. I lost 6 big ones. Here some pics of the cycle. I can’t put them all in there but just a few

Reminds me of my first couple of grows-8 buckets of buds. I switched to a 4-17 gal UC tote setup-easier for me to manage.

Yea I know what you mean more like trim hell lol. I’m changing to 3 10 gallon short totes. I normally get 10 to 12 zips dry on one plant in a 3x3 tent I can’t see why I can’t do 3 monsters in a 4x 8 and get at least 30. I am going with aurora indica and og kush on the next rounds. Also I’m adding another 600 to the tent which should fill the middle in nicely:

Looks good bro. I can’t say much really I don’t fuck with dirt, just to hard for me. I started with hydro about 15 years ago. Tried every type and settled on dwc.

This is the last Aurora I ran this winter. Took up 2x3 worth of space and produced over a pound of nice meds. Only issue I had with it was a tendency to develop a few spots of mold deep in the flower.

Yea I seem to have that problem with indices. I bought a big dehumidifier to help on this go round. I like AI. Smells like str8 gas when she is growing.

Hey what type of hydro setup are you running.

Running 4 of the 17 gal HDX totes plumbed together with 2" PVC piping and bulkhead fittings. 700gph magdrive pump just does a simple recirc from the last tote back to the first. 6" netlid in each tote does a good job with support. I haven't used a chiller on any of my hydro setups for the past 3 years using Hydroguard or GFF but I realized that it was only a matter of time before I lost a crop because of that so I got a 1/4hp chiller that I'm currently plumbing into the system for next winters run. Simple and very effective.

I like that setup Never tried recirculating. I did do nft a few times and it was great but the tubes were too hard to clean after each run so I went back to dwc. I will admit it’s nice to only PH one red and cool one res. Makes things so much easier. Do you use GH mutes? I’ve never tried anything but GH. Always done well but as of late I’ve been thinking of doing some research on others. I don’t want to change if it’s not going to be better because I know GH like the back of my hand. But you know, always looking for something better.

I started with GH Flora trio and used that for a couple of years with good results. I ran Megacrop last year and it works well but it's very hygroscopic and must be kept in a sealed dry container or it will turn into soup. I'm going to run Jacks 321 this year-dry nutes are much easier for me.

I just finished some white widow myself.. totally in love with it, tastes like pine with some fruit. I always heard people describe weed like they were tasting wine, this is the first time i have experienced flavors other than just "weed"
