If I grow outside and hypothetically the plants were found but I wasn't there, would i have to worry about them fingerprinting the pots or any supplies which would lead the 5-0 to me?
luckily for you im in 2 forensic classes! we just covered fingerprints last week.. Yes they can get them off the pots.. but would they really go to that extent.. probably not... unless you were growing like 100 plants..
are your fingerprints on file? Its really a lot of work to process fingerprints, and usually saved for bigger crimes.. e.g. robbery, murder, rape, ect.
they have programs to do it, but it still takes forensic scientists hours to confirm the findings.. Then they have to get a warrant, ect. Really too much work for such a trivial crime..
