Finally ordered all my stuff, what do you think?

I ordered some Autoflower purple cheese, autoflower amnesia, autoflower auto bomb, and autoflower bubbleicious. I wanted all auto flowering feminsed seeds so it was all easier on me, a first timer.
My real goal in all of this is to help my brother, he has chronic pain from back surgeries, truth be told, I don't even smoke. Never have. But it's hard when you're on diability and all they throw at you is lortab you know.
So I just plan on growing four in this area, next to my A/C unit, it has 2 unused vents, and plenty of airflow in the area thanks to the a/c sucking air.


Here is the soil and nutes I bought, but I have been reading and you can start the seeds out in this mix and not need any nuts for 2-3 weeks, so that is a plus for a newb like me.

That's you just about tooled up for the job nicely...
A small fan to move air about is all I can think to add to your list...

dont forget some mylar

Mayb a temp/humidity reader. Runs about 5-10 bucks....

Once you germ your seeds place in solo cups with happy frog. Use a few cfl till around 3-4 inch tall. Seedlings don't need 600w yet. Then take a mix of 50/50 happy frog and FFOF in 1 gallon pot. Veg under 600. Leave it high for a few day so seedling get use to the higher lumens. Drop the light down to 18 inch from top of tallest plant. Veg for veg for 3 weeks 18/6. Transplant to a 2-3 gallon pot with just FFOF. Veg 18/6 till you see the 2 hairs start showing then go 12/12. This will help with power bill and heat. There auto so light leaks arnt a big deal. Now if you fallowed the potting mix right you won't need to add any nutes for atleast 3-4 weeks after you go to 2-3 gallon pots. Saving nutes and not burning them. When you do add nutes use 1/2 of what is said. This should be a good start for you.

On another note. I can't tell. Is that a water heater or house heater/AC? Any of them will put off heat that will need to be pulled out. eBay has some good fan/filter combos. Get a 6" and run it filter up high ducted to light ducted to fan duct out of that area. If you can out of the house. You will also need a passive intake area low by the plants pulling in cool air. Left over duct should be fine for that. So looks like another $130 or so. And your good. Best of luck.

It's a heater/ Ac system. How many watts should the cfl be?

Why is that? He growing to help his brother. And with autos he can grow under 1 light in all stages. Well seedlings should be out from under the hid but he can start 2 every 6 weeks and keep his brother happy. So I think he did the best. Only draw back is always needing seeds. Can't clone autos.

And get the highest watt you can find. Should have 2. Walmart will have them and Y splitters. Look for the ones that say daylight. But realy any will work for what you need.

U can clone some autos. And autos have been revegged. But umm photos can do the same thing as an auto just 12 and 12 it from seed. And u can clone.

Did you get a cool tube ? You will need an exhaust fan. centrifugal is best.

You said your A/C is sucking in air from this room? Is this the main intake for your A/C? Won't that suck the smell out and distribute it through the whole house via the ducts and vents?

Well I decided to forego that and get a little better setup. I bought a 2'X4'X5' grow tent and got a 6" exhaust fan with a temperature control switch so it would kick on at 79 degrees. I also got a carbon filter on it.
I'm gonna do an intake from the bottom just fresh air then exhaust out the top, with a small fan on the bottom.

That's a good idea. But becareful of who you take advise from. There are many on this site that repeat what they are told. And it's wrong. But so far most is good info. But now you have a tent to deal with. Temps are now a bigger issue then next to the AC. I'm guessing you are thinking of going photo plants. So I say get the whole thing and set it up. Running it as you would to grow for a few days and watch temps. Fix that and start your grow. Been there done that so feel free to ask. I'm thinking they ask jump you did. Didn't ask how high.

I am 100% not growing for profit and am growing for the purposes I said. But when I do something I want to do it right. I bought a 6" exhaust fan that is 440cfm and growing indoors along with having my intake be fresh air from inside should help keep the temps down. The tent isnt the largest, and I have zero intentions of selling. I don't trust anyone not to narc me out for one, and secondly I don't know anyone who sells it themselves. I literally could not buy any right now if I wanted because I know no one who does it (other than my brother). Just 4 little plants to provide for him and help his pain out.
I have just been reading a lot on here. I don't want to bombard people with asking every little step because I know that tends to piss people off.

yea autos are point less if your growing indoors its relly not hard at all to switch a light cycle to 12/12. you can 12/12 from seed if u want to

personaly i have seen so many people buy all of this equipment without even a cfl grow under their belt then their first grow doesnt work out (usaly never does) and they have blown all this money on equipment they arnt going to use. i would have just tryed some bag seed under cfls for your first grow just so you can kind of get the hang of it. but if you want to save money on veg i would just get a few 4 foot shop lights from wallmart you dont need a 500$ t5 that what i do atleast and u can click my log and check my grow out if you want then i flower them under 1k hps aircooled

Don't bet the farm on that pH meter. In other words, don't adjust anything based on readings from that. Not your fault as you don't know but those are junk. Others who actually know will verify. But don't replace it because I have grown since 1964 and just bought my first one - for DWC. Trust me, amigo, you don't need any pH meter. Especially at your skill level. KISS!!!!!!

what is photoperiods and auto? Im first timer and have started with clones. Is there something easier. And what kind of lights from Walmart? for seedlings?
