Finally a turn in luck.

HELLO R.I.U!

Grab a joint and sit down, this may get long winded.
Little background, growing for 2 years. No previous experience growing anything but some green beans back in first grade. FF>35YEARS. I was growing perpetual in my garage, in the frying pan known as Oklahoma. Somehow only recently have I started having issues. Little time and research and boom, found the problem... Oklahoma. Shit was getting too hot. I lost 2Girls to root rot and one hermed only 3Weeks into flower, bad. So I ended up with one auto that was struggling and 2 Clones from one of the lost plants. Those 2 are now in flower about a week apart and I've got some girls that I just popped. Trying to get the perpetual set up again.

Now that we're caught up to present. I've moved my tents into a back room with a.c. to help combat the heat. Had a turn in luck as I said. I won an Ez8 from Grow Medic and had to get a new tent because the light is too big for my current tents. So I'm going to be pushing a true 1000w led in a 4x4. I've already had heat issues and I'd like to avoid them in the future but with this beast how can I beat the heat?

Lets start with the basics
What are you running for equipment? If I were you I'd have
-air conditioning (keep temps between 75 and 85)
-Humidifier (keep humidity between 50 and 65% depending on veg/flowering stage)
-Dehumidifier (this paired with the humidifier will also make drying perfectly controlled)
-6" exhaust fan (enough air intake for good co2 circulation, be sure to have at least two 8" passive intakes or at least two 6" ones. I did an active 6" intake with a 6" exhaust fan so two fans total)
-a few fans for circulation around the canopy
-Ph+PPM measuring equipment
-what nutrients and medium are you running
-Are you going to be using something to measure the light for dimming? I recommend a lux meter (20$) at least, or you could go all out and get a pulse pro for 500$ which will give u co2 readings, humidity, temperature, and ppfd(light)

I'm thinking air flow is going to be the big one. Also considering a temp stat to control an exhaust fan for the whole room.

Ok into the details. Big part of my growing, I'm broke and won't take the chance selling to try to balance cost. The room is a bedroom with house air conditioning. I don't trust many and my crew already has their hook ups, so funds are hard to come by. I'm hoping to get a portable a.c. to supplement, Co2 is out of the budget, period. I'm considering going mostly coco, with just a couple DWC sites also. Should've mentioned I was DWC in the garage. I presently only have domestic humidifiers, the cheap ones. I know I'll have to get another exhaust fan.

I feel your pain. S. Missouri is basically the same sweat shop. I have used 2 inline fans in this situation, 1 exhausting and 1 pushing cooler air in from the floor. Should hold 10-15 degrees F above room temp. good luck...

Dont feel bad i had to shutdown temporarily in my indoor just cuz of heat. It came up to a point where i would have to buy a separate AC for grow … so nah.

Thank god for perpetuals - and stored jars.

Once I get my new set up going I may try that in one of the tents(I'll have 3!) And as long as it goes well the little tent will be open.

Put it this way … Palm Springs ( not that far from me )
was 120° yesterday. Thinking of running my T5s instead for a couple plants - maybe.
120 ! So freaking hot can imagine how anything green reacts to that kind of heat, 115 in the Portland area a few weeks ago destroyed plants of all kinds and the heat only lasted 3 days.

Yep … local news yesterday showed beach area with thousands of mollusks dead ( open ) from the heat still attached to sea rocks and pillars. Climate change is real , deniers need to wake up.

Yeah I read a article on mussels and how their dying will affect all sorts of others critters in and around the shores.
