So after all of my trials and tribulations I have officially had my first successful harvest!

After all was said and done, I ended up with a grand total of 3.38oz (95.76g)!

Thanks to everyone who gave me tips and advice. It smokes like a dream already, and the oldest batch has only cured for a week or so. I can't wait to see what proper curing does to the rest. I'm really proud of it :D

It made me curious, though. What was other peoples first yield like? I only did one plant so I wasnt going to get pounds but I'm interested in learning about different strains and their yields.

Not even sure it's something a lot of growers remember lol
on my first grow i grew 4 plants from clones. 1 of them came out great and the other 3 came out like shit. i got about 2 ounces of usable bud from that one plant and probably 4-5 ounces of larf i used to make edibles.

:)

your plants look nice and frosty nice job!

Got an update on a pretty little flower that cured nicely.
Way to go So this is my first grow as well I started with two seeds on June 6th only one made it to flowering and she is just weeks from harvest (day 56 of flowering) any advice ? Plans for future grows ? Cut any clones along the way ? Anyhow I don’t think I’ll end up with as much bud as you did way to go .

Congrats success breeds success. My first grow back in 1970’s was also a single from bag seed. We were idiots never flowered not even sure of the sex just smoked the leaves. If headaches are a buzz we got higher than a kite. Anyway before you know it you’ll be pulling down those multi pound plants yourself. Keep at it and good growing.

Damn, thanks everyone! I think it's fair to say I've found a new hobby lol I've already built a compost bin outback out of old shipping pallets. I live in NE so it's just in time for the leaves to start falling and I can get some nice foliage in there.

Oh jeez I'm not sure I'm versed enough just yet to give advice. I mean by virtue of what I went through I learn a hell of a lot haha But that said I'm still no expert so I'm happy to give my two sense but take it with a big hunk of salt.

I think it looks great! You managed to keep wayyyyy more control of your plant than I did, and you're definitely not as scared as I am to whip out those clippers lol I am trying to get another entry into my journal to hash out the details, but it was basically a bush by the time it was done and wouldn't even fit in my 2x4 - length was fine, of course, but the plant was touching the sides until I finally supercropped it.

I began my second grow about a month before I harvested my first. They are the same strain - Strawberry Fields - and I've got two going at once now. They're doing well so far, but MAN are they short compared to their older sister. I can't seem to get them to do the stretching I want. I'm afraid I may have waited too long to go from the 1 to 3 gals so the taproot bottomed out. Does anyone know much about that? I've read/heard that once the tap root hits bottom, the plan focuses on a wider root system as opposed to a deeper one.
