Final List Review Before Purchasing (Indoor Tent Grow w/ 2 HLG 260s)

All the Information On My Grow Setup is in the Image Attached!
Some basic info about this grow setup:

Looking to grow 6 plants for my first initial grow, then I will buy another tent along with another HLG 260 (4000k) primary for vegging. Than I will be running a cycle of 6 veg / 6 flower to increase yield time. Overall goal is to eventually get good enough to harvest ~a pound per harvest. All personal smoke!

This will be done in my room (pretty big room) inside a 5x5 tent (people mentioned 4x4 might be to small). I have a question regarding the environment the tent is in: does it have to be spotless or since it is also my bedroom, how do I make sure my tent is sucking in quality air? I will be having the inline fan / CF act as an exhaust fan (inside tent) exiting out a bedroom window. The temperatures inside my house is always 60-70 degrees and outside can range from 40(coldest) - 90(hottest) degrees.

Would I need to add a heater inside my tent? I included a humidifer, but not the heater. I noticed most heaters draw anywhere from 800-1400 watts, and since I'm chaged 0.23 kWh, I rather not include the heater. But if its needed, it's needed.

Also, last question regarding my soil. I heard that FFOF is very hot in terms of nutrients, but most people recommend it here. Would I be better with going with FFOF on my first grow or look for a milder soil and add my own nutrients? I've read about the FFOF burning the plants and may be too strong for seedlings, but not too sure. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Electrical Review:

MAX : (480 watts * 18 hours) = 8,640 watts = 8.64 kWh || 8.64 x 31 days = 267.84 kwh per month || 53.568 kw per month * $0.23 (cost per kWh) = ~$61

MAX : Maybe an extra 300 watts || (300 watts * 24 hours) = 7200 watts = 7.2 kwh || (7.2 kwh * 31 days) = 223.2 kWh per month * $0.23 (cost per kWh) = ~$52

Electrical Total = ~$113.00 @ MAX per Month

Total Cost of Initial Setup = ~$1,470 before tax

If you think I'm missing something or recommend any other suggestions, please do!

Thank you very much!

Hey , welcome to Riu

Yes the room your tent is in should be pretty clean, you say its your bedroom, that should be fine. You can cover your intake ports with some of that fine dust filter shit if you want to keep the air as clean as possible coming in.

In the summer months you probably wont require a heater as the temps rise, most LED growers are trying to keep temps in the 80`s...Winter may be different, depends how warm the ambient air in you room is. Most likely you may need a small heater to keep temps up if your growing with HLG kits.. They dont give off heat like HPS

All soil will require nutrients, some just faster than others. FFOF is a great product, i love the stuff, it grows DANK weed and is very easy to grow in for a first timer. My first run in FFOF, my girls went 40 days of VEG without needing nutrients. As i flipped to flower, i started adding nutes to the water. Its great stuff. Yes sometimes it can be a little hot for seedlings, ive seen a few people complain about that, i never had those issues, i sprouted 20+ babies in FFOF and have never had one fry or show nute burn from the soil. Did i mention i love the stuff? Newbies dream medium imo.

You wont have much issue hitting 1lb/harvests flowering 6 plants in 5x5s...as long as you keep the environment in check, water properly and give your space/canopy footprint the proper amount of light it needs, 1lb harvests will be easy to hit for you.

my first grow i pulled 14.5 ozs from 4 plants in a 4x4 under 600w HPS

Your planning and research is on point, just gotta put it all to work now and grow some ganja.

growweedeasy.com is a great site for growers, has articles on any and everything growing. All us newbs should have it book marked.

Best of luck

I have been seeing people say led growers are trying to hit leafs temps in the 80's lately usually 85f? Where is this info coming from? Because I strongly disagree. Are you all confusing leaf temps with air temps? Do you all know something I don't? Or is this just information that people are getting confused?
