Final checklist for QB build

Okay so now that it’s done I really want to understand what this light will get me. My canopy is a little under 2x4’, so I’m guessing about 7 square feet. This puts the LED light at a little over 51 watts per square foot, and with the 600 watt HPS well over 80. What I don’t know is how the two lights compare. I know from what other people have told me that they’ve gotten around .9 GPW with HPS and as high as 1.5 with LED. If the math holds, this 360 watt LED light would produce the same GPW as the 600 watt HPS.

This is all in theory though and I could be completely wrong, but is this light I just built gonna do as or about as well as the HPS while using a lot less power? Not to mention I’ll be able to run this light during the summer when it just wouldn’t be realistic to run the HPS.

I had a pretty specific idea — a totally self contained, fully dimmable, dual mode board/cob hybrid light that would be powerful enough for a closet or small tent, that looks nice and isn’t extremely heavy. I definitely built what I had in mind. I just hope it gets me the kind of buds I want.

Well after going back and reading some of the earlier replies in this thread, I’m confident that this light will work for flowering in my closet. So, I ordered one more of those boards and a HLG-120h-54a to run it. After seeing how absurdly bright these boards are, I think that’s more than enough for vegging in my 3x3 tent. I may even be able to turn it down some. Now I’m really looking forward to seeing those electric bills drop :)

Edit: holy fuck 223 lumens per watt on these Samsung lm310b. Isn’t that like 50 more than a CXB3590?
