Fimming question

So i'm on my first grow and i fimmed my plants like 4-5, days ago but i think i did it wrong. It developed 2 new branches on the first internod but on top, the little leaves i cut just kept growing and i didn't get any new branching.What should i do? Should I try again? I'll post some pictures as soon as my cell recharges

Thats what is supposed to happen, by cutting the growing tip down low it allows lower branching to develop while the tip recovers, fim it again.

i was actually expecting something along the line of topping where the tip doesn't recover
