FIM 4 day follow up

See on your pic there where it says Topping Cut Location? When you top a plant right there, you are removing the top node (or nodes), and the auxiliary shoots below, where those little yellow dots are, become your 2 new tops. How do you not understand this?
Top on the red line, and 1 and 2 become your new tops. Pretty simple, hope you understand now.

Still looking for the , Two new tops you spoke of as 1 and 2 are already there, I understand side branches but you said I'm getting more?

Yes...1 & 2 are already there...but they are not the top of your plant. They are auxiliary shoots, just regular old nodes ready to grow. When you top a plant, you are making it shorter by removing the TOP growth...Your plant loses its single top bud site, but now it has two bud sites..and where are these bud sites now located? Well lo and behold THEY ARE NOW AT THE TOP OF YOUR PLANT because you removed everything above them. Surprise, surprise, you now have two new tops instead of a single top.

You can be a troll and argue semantics all you want and call them whatever bullshit you want to keep from admitting you're wrong, but the fact remains they are no longer auxiliary shoots and have become the new tops of your plant, replacing the old single top.

Wrong from what , your the one with the magical shoots once one tops.

When you cut the top of a plant of “topping” you are removing its single apical dominant shoot.

then the 2 shoots below the topping procedure as @Dank Bongula has shown you then take apical dominance becoming now 2 that take lead.

By topping you are dividing the apical Dominance into 2 tops.

So if you look at the pictures I posted, I fimmed the plant first and it thickened up very quick but because you’re not cutting the whole thing it continues to grow up. I only have a 6ft tent so I had to then “TOP” it. Cutting off the top completely. I then realized it was still going to grow up during flowering phase, so I “supercropped” it by bending it completely over and lollipoped it to thin it out. She’s doing good!

Here she is now about 4 weeks into flower

Topping promotes excessive growth to the 2 lower nodes making them 2 main colas.

I have two girls, I topped 1 & fim the other. The topped plant has responded far better, 5th day. The lower branches have thickened up, twice as much growth on the two tops and side shoots. I'm thinking I'm going to top the fim'd one as I'm not to impressed at the moment. You done this I believe, with some bending. Yours look great.

Yeah I fimmed and then wanted more so I topped, then I bent it over!

Honestly though I think this is a nitrogen def but I’ve been feeding her and adding more, idk if I’m hitting it or not.. please help!

How you getting on with this, have you managed to sort it, if N not hitting the spot it maybe worth trying black strap molasses, as it also looks as though it could be calcium, magnesium def, molasses is also packed with micro nutrients that can fix a few problems. I usually turn to molasses with leaf problems as a first resort.

With fimming I think most people cut too high. The first couple times I tried looked just like yours but nothing really happened.


Finally I cut lower than I had been to the point where it was basically topped but with a little bit of leaf stubble on top.

The ones I did that way grew into three mains, the two sides and the leaf stubble grew into the third.
