Fictionalgrower's Perpetual Micro SoG (2nd Grow)

I do know that "tops" don't root as well as side branches, but other than that I can't fault what you are doing.
I stick my cuttings into Jiffy pellets, use a single humidity dome over all together and don't spray them, but what you are doing shuld be working - maybe just needs a little longer as you are using "tops" and not side branches.

I like your "sog frame", hopefully you'll get great results.

I've just sprouted a couple of Barney's Farm LSD and I'm

thinking of trying a 9 pot hempy SOG - I need to grow the 2 plants for a while before I can take a dozen cuttings (9 for the SOG and 3 for seed making).
After reading this thread I am seriously considering hempy's too

That grow was freakin awesome.

I'm going to try hempy with cheap, general purpose, water soluable nutes - not purchased from a hydro store.
I think that there is just a bit too much marketing hype with hydro nutes (with a price to match).
I can squeeze 9 pots under a single Kessil light, and it will be good to compare yields with a SCROG under the same light ... I know hempy will be quicker as there is no training under a screen to worry about.

Before the 9 pot LSD hempy SOG, I have a 4 plant (one pot) Magic Bud SCROG to do - forward planning is driving me insane.

Well my cloning is finally coming along... sort of. All 4 Killing Fields cuttings have rooted and been transplanted in to 16oz party cups. The 4 Herijuana x Big White cuttings, nothing...

The HxBW cuttings were way bigger than the KF cuttings. I always thought larger cuttings were more likely to root. Either that was wrong or maybe this strain is just harder to clone. All 8 cuttings were in the exact same environment, under the same conditions.
All cuttings were taken on Day 1 when the SoG table was put in the flower room.

Here's today's pics.

Clones 1.jpgClones 2.jpg

The bottom right cup is my first clone to take root. I placed it in that cup two days ago and it seems to be coming along nicely. The other 3 cups are cuttings that just got "planted" right before this picture(s). Still inside my DWC bubble cloner are the 4 HxBW cuttings. Has anyone else grown / tried to clone the Herijuana x Big White strain freebies from Sannie?

I posted a pic of my veg cab above. If you are talking about my flower room, it's just a converted closet. Here's a pic

I have been suspecting for a few days now that I had a boy in my bunch. Each day I have been watching to see if it really was a boy or I was just stoned. Today he revealed himself enough and I killed him. I am keeping an eye on the other 4 K-Dog plants since they were regular seeds. One of my rooted KF clones will take his place tomorrow.

Cloning seems to still be going well. I planted my first rooted Herijuana x Big White clone today. I have the beginnings of a tap root on one more HxBW cutting that I am going to give a few more days in the bubbler before going into a party cup. I will take some pics of the roots before I plant the next one.

Here's a pic of the whole gang before the dude got chopped. He was the one right beside my bowl.

The whole gang.jpg

The two tall girls in the back have shown sex too but we already knew they were fem seeds from Sannie and took clones off of them. Killing Fields is the plant on the left, HxBW is on the right and all the others are K-Dog.

Growing these new strains I really notice how sativa dominant the KF strain is. These other two strains are definitely indica dominant. The K-Dog has the fattest leaves I have ever seen. Hopefully all of the topping the KF plant has been through keeps it short. I don't know how tall it will get since my first grow with this stain was LST.

Here's a top pic of the bad boy before he got chopped to show the leaves.

lookin good FG, I can't wait to get into a place where I won't be destroying males when they show.. I want to be able to move it and grow them out a little more and harvest the pollen :).. but lookin good for sure man, and I'm with TreeZ can't wait to see the outcome :bigjoint:

Yeah eventually I would like to play with breeding and making seeds but like you, I just don't have the space right now. My main goal right now is just to grow enough that I don't have to pay high ass prices for bullshit weed. Once I achieve my goal of being fully self supplied then I plan to play around a bit more.

for sure, lol I guess great minds think alike cause that is the exact same reasoning I have :)

nice looking op :)

I have done a bit of cloning on the harijuana/big-wite. I had an odd experience as well. Out of 10 clones, only one got proper round roots. The other 9 almost looked like the stem was rotting, but upon looking closer it looked more like a giant bulbous root surface growing in a sphere. I went ahead and transplanted to soil after 20 days in the cloner, thinking they wouldn't make it, and every one recovered remarkably quickly and within a few days were putting on vigorous growth.

What up, FG, haven't been around in a while but your grow is lookin awesome. I started up something, but I don't have a journal right now. Last time I tried to take a clone they all died. I used some stuff called Rootone. What do you use for your cuttings?

I used Rootech cloning gel but honestly I think the key was the bubble cloner. I was getting jack for roots until I put the cuttings down in the water. I've read from others that have used this type of bubble cloner that they don't use anything other than PH balanced water and get roots as quick as 6 days. I now have a 100% success rate since all 4 KF and all 4 HxBW cuttings have rooted.

Gobbly, my HxBW clones did exactly what you say yours did. They looked like they were rotting and then like 10 little roots popped out all around the stem. I put them in party cups of dirt and watered them in. They seem to be doing great.

OK update time.

First, all 8 of my clones have rooted and are now under the HPS. Out of the 5 k-dog seeds that I started, 3 ended up being boys and they were all killed accordingly.

I now have 12 girls in my flower room. My 32oz girls were getting bigger than what I wanted. I plan to finish out the plants that I already have in 32 oz containers to see what they yield. All of my future girls I plan on flowering in 16oz party cups (check me out SmellyTreez :) ) I have been reading several grows trying to decide how to "dial mine in" for exactly what I want. These two grows are almost exactly what I am trying to do and the smaller containers seem to be the way to go.

Here's a pic of my 12 ladies in the flower room.

12 ladies.jpg

I have also taken 4 cuttings (2 each) from the k-dog females in my flower room.

K-dog Cuttings.jpg

Once the clones are rooted they go straight into party cups and into the flower room. Every few weeks I will take cuttings from the flowering girls and clone them for the next round of clones. The table is gone for now since I cut holes for the 32oz containers and I don't plan to use any more than the 5 already flowering.

Let me know what you think folks. :bigjoint:

Hell yea brotha, Party Cups all the way lol... HOnestly though, the one I transplanted "could be due to stress or genetics too" but its way smaller then the one I left in the party cup so I don't think it will increase the yield tremendously seeing its 12/12 from start pretty much. I just built a new flowering box in my KK thread, I'm not sure how I'm going to do my next grow but depending on how this works out for you I might give it a try aswell :) Anyway come by and check out the box, lmk what you think!
