FFOF "Webbing" when opened - Is this normal?

It's not possible for fungus knats to form in the soil if it's sealed - right? I didn't think they would originate from the medium itself, if it's completely unexposed to external environments (bugs).
How much dirt is in your trunk after transporting. Not sealed. Perforated from rough handling. LOL.

Do not seal it unless its paper dry. Sealed with any moisture. Itll cause the non oxygen critters to multiply. Basically rotting.

I store mine, out of the bag, in a black trash can. During the summer in this area. 108°-110° with 98° being average. You can put in the can damp but you need to reached down to the bottom and churn it up to completely dry. .

I mix my soil in a 29 gal tote. Leave it open until dry. Then close. My suppliers keep all soil out doors and exposed. Hate those 80# bags that are supposed to be 40#

Lol, fair enough!

Thank you. I live in a studio and my building does not have storage units, so I am limited with space. I've been getting away with having a tote in my parking stall, so I'll put my soil in the tote. I can churn it to dry it, but definitely will have to put a lid on it. Is that an issue?

EDIT: NVM looks like @MICHI-CAN just answered my question haha.

Also, my parking stall is 3 floors underground. So maybe a bit colder.

Buy the harber freight cement mixer. They have a 1.25 cubic feet and a 3.5 cubic feet. I've had the small one mixing super soil.

Man, pour it in the mixer. Have a beer and let it churn.
I have a drill and can buy a mixer bit.. If it works for cement I'm sure it will work for soil lol.

I've been wanting to make a super soil but haven't had time into looking at the fine details of doing so... But since I am now dealing with all this, I may as well. I want to do something like organic super soil with FFOF, Gaia 4-4-4, Gaia 2-8-4, and Gaia EWC. That is what I have right now.

Think there are any issues of mixing happy frog and FFOF in the tote? Would rather have 1 than 2.

With the cement mixer. Its mixed. No hotspots. No clusters of perlite either. Everything is distributed evenly and completely.

Of course it'll work on dirt. But don't use it to mix concrete and then dirt.

2 or 3 5 gal buckets. 3 are best. Box as we say in my trade. How you get paint all 1 color in multiple buckets of a custom color. Mix by pouring 2 buckets into 1. Repeat as needed. No effort and multi use low cost tool.

A few too many $200 laziness induced purchases here. Most are collecting dust. LOL.
True that.

I have a shelf to collect mine. Mostly hydroponic stuff I don't use anymore. I have a res cooler. The electric rod that cools down. I forgot it's exact name but it'll cool a res to 65°. I'll never use it again.

It looks like I'm a bit late to the party, but it looks to me like what's called cobweb mold! It's a common problem with mushroom grows, but I have never seen it with cannabis. I really can't tell though from the pics. Could be mycelium, the underground growth of mushrooms, in an early state as well like many others have already pointed out. Who knows, maybe you'll get a few mushrooms pop up! Since you have already made your transplant, just keep an eye on it. If it's mycelium, it's good, if it's cobweb, it's bad.

Hey Cannabis growers and smokers I have recently started to sell cannabis merchandise and gear and could really use some support to get my first sales going and grow my store. If you have the time please head over to my RedBubble store: https://www.redbubble.com/people/LifestyleMe/shop?asc=u&ref=account-nav-dropdown#profile
and check out some of the products and designs that are there! If you like the products and designs please don't hesitate to make a purchase or share the store with family and friends! It will be much appreciated thank you.
Hey dude i looked at your designs they're cool I like them, but you're bout to get a bunch of hate/ban for advertising here without being an official advertiser and also for posting in other peoples threads. Just a heads up.

I'll keep an eye out for pests. May do some proactive pest control, better than reactive.
