Can I ask what type of nutrients you use ?I don't ph and I water with ph from 5.8 to 7.5 and every time I tested runoff ph it was between 6.3-6.8. I dump all kinds of supplements and amendments on my ff soil and it's still in the range I mentioned above.
Are u sure. Is giving citric acid like giving lemon juice ? Someone just said here that for plants acid is acid ? But Iam new. Here to learn.Vitamin C powder, a tiny bit, will remove chlorine and chloramine quickly. Citric acid won't harm the microbiome as a PH down. Both are cheap bought in bulk on amazon.
Mine come out at about 6.0 as well and it's definitely RO So idk the answer my old house with RO it was 7.0 pH and now with new place here I'm thinking has to do with different city waterTrue RO water should be 7.0. No higher or lower. If you get different it’s your meter or it’s not actually RO.
Not true they soil test and based off soil PH is what makes the decision of what crop to plant!farmers don't ph...
Man I use so much stuff it'll take a whole page to list them. Dry amendments top dressing and mixed with soil I've used nature living super soil, alfalfa, BAS craft blend, crushed oyster shell, fish bone meal and others. Bottle and powder I've used silica, 5-2 kelp humic blend, amino acids, enzymes, Aloe vera, coconut powder, calmag recharge, microbial mass pro, fish shit, seaweed extract, mammoth p, mbferts, molasses, great white and some others I can't remember. Can I ask what type of nutrients you use ?
I was guna grab microbial mass pro but I ended up getting recharge instead. Which one u like better and why ? PleaseMan I use so much stuff it'll take a whole page to list them. In my experience ff soil can take anything you throw at as long as you stay light on NPK.
not daily but maybe annually usual never and i do know. They dont every water etc. so you are not correct in my statement. Id give even more detail but enough for details. Not true they soil test and based off soil PH is what makes the decision of what crop to plant!
Either one of those is a win. Those two are in a very short list of products that made a visible impact on my plants. The recharge is good because it's an all in one supplement per say. The microbial mass works better than everything in it's class that I've tried (mammoth p, Tribus, etc). If I was a beginner on a budget I'd get recharge. If money wasn't an issue I'd grab microbial mass.I was guna grab microbial mass pro but I ended up getting recharge instead. Which one u like better and why ? Please
It’s funny cuz I have spoke to a few people and they use recharge and claims it’s good I just wanted something to feed and add microbial life People told me just keep top dressing once a month with a good worm castings and then just give molasses every so often and it’s the same thing . But Iam a first time grower so I just ask lots of questions then just the other day my grow shop guy told me about microbial mass and the pro version And cuz Iam in Canada the microbial mass is actually cheaper for me But I will try recharge out this time and the microbial mass next. How was the fish shit ?Either one of those is a win. Those two are in a very short list of products that made a visible impact on my plants. Bro science is proven on chlorine. And my FFOF education dictates Tap water for avoiding cal/mag issues. And PH is really critical in my grows with it. LOL.If you try to hold back on anything potentially harmful to microbial life you’re wasting time in general. Recharge? Great product. Molasses? For our microbes and not for the plant. Molasses is for the microbes. Many of us regularly water in Mykos WP. Acid is acid for the most part as far as effects on microbes.
By the way chlorine and water sitting out? Unnecessary. There’s science that’s not bro science showing effects are limited to the first inch or so of medium. But if it makes you happy and sleep better leave it sitting.
The idea that bottled nutes will kill your micro-herd is complete and utter nonsense. I mean, sure, if you overfeed to a point that you burn your plants, you will also have issues with your microbes dying off too, but synthetic ferts and microbes can get along just fine at normal levels. But it kinda depends. If he's using bottled nutes, and killing off the microbes in the soil, I would probably ph to 6.5
why is it that i haven't phed anything in years and run perfectly everytime? no freakin idea my ph using plain ole water? The idea that bottled nutes will kill your micro-herd is complete and utter nonsense. Personally I would ph anything higher than 7.5 in soil. You will kill more microbes from an alkaline solution than you will by adding some acid. Don't forget that microbes like it slightly acid anyway which is why they will help to bring your soil back closer to 6.5, even when you put in 7.0 water.
May I ask if your in ffof ? And what is your house ph ? D u use tap I assume ? Cuz me and my buddy having probs with ffofwhy is it that i haven't phed anything in years and run perfectly everytime? no freakin idea my ph using plain ole water?
fox farm ocean forest 3 parts, 1 part perlite, heaping spoon of lime. thats about a one gallon ratio. although always experimenting after a month seabird guano every 2/3 weeks spoon full per plant. no idiea tap water ph. havent checked since the ph meter busted many moons ago. straight tap water none of that let it settle a day.May I ask if your in ffof ? Does that lime help u through ph issues ?fox farm ocean forest 3 parts, 1 part perlite, heaping spoon of lime. thats about a one gallon ratio. although always experimenting after a month seabird guano every 2/3 weeks spoon full per plant. no idiea tap water ph. havent checked since the ph meter busted many moons ago. straight tap water none of that let it settle a day.
As you said, you don't know your ph, so perhaps it's already ideal.why is it that i haven't phed anything in years and run perfectly everytime? no freakin idea my ph using plain ole water?
Maybe you have optimal water where you live. Some of us get our water from a well, or a lake, or a river, or a canal...different watersheds and treatment systems as well as distribution systems have different impacts on water because they go through different processes depending on the source water. What works optimally for you, may not and most likely will not, work optimally for someone else.why is it that i haven't phed anything in years and run perfectly everytime? no freakin idea my ph using plain ole water?
