FFOF seems too hot, should I try another medium?

just an FYI, and so we're on the same page:
Vermisoil is not that hot. Vermifire is pretty hot.
Both have excellent aeration. Ready to use straight out the bag.
I would NOT put freshly rooted cuts in Vermifire though. ;-)
would you see a problem in putting small veg plants that are outgrowing their solo cups in vermifire?

when you call them let me know what the price is and your state if you could. Im going to call tomorrow as well, but im not paying $25 per bag like i've read some other people are.

1 bag = 14 bucks
10 bags = 13 bucks each
1 pallet(55 bags) =645 bucks

also, do you think Vermifire is as hot as ocean forest?
Not having done a side-by-side, and going by what friends have told me, i would say they are equally as hot, but the Vf can potentially take your plants further without needing to be fed.

The huge differerence for me is the fact that vermifire has coco in it. I like coco allot :-)

maybe if it is just as strong, perhaps i should cut it with some plain vermisoil. I dont mind addint nutes in flower but the ocean forest was just too strong for small clones i think.

Edit: maybe I could try my hand at layering? bottom 2/3 could be vermifire while top 1/3 is vermisoil so i can try not to make any crispy leaves. I try to avoid layering so that i'll know when to feed for consistency, but maybe i should rethink.

Although I have not done that, it sounds like a solid plan.

just got off the phone with Garden Depot in Millwalkie oregon, they are listed as a seller of vermisoil products from the vermisoil web page, after getting off the phone with them just now, they only have the vermifire in stock, and some other soil of theirs but not the vermisoil , sooooo where does that leave me
He did say his biggest seller is FFOF and its only 10 dollars a bag,, lol
I didnt ask how much the vermifire costs
we did have a lengthy conversation about soils and growing, so funny what being in a legal state can do, just talk about growing pot right on the phone , no big thang
