FFOF and MG seed starter question

Been looking over the forums and can't really find something to relate to my question.

I bought a 1.5 cubic ft bag of fox farm ocean forest and a pack of 3 gallon grow bags. i figured the bag of OF would fill 3 3gallon bags completely but came to find that all three would be a little bit short if proportionate to one another. aka they are all filled to same amount but all three are not filled completely. I planned on putting my seeds right into the OF and a buddy of mine said that it might be too hot for the seedlings and suggested i put something on top of the OF for the seedling stage.... now my only prob is i didn't pick up light warrior and the hydro shop is a loonng drive so i was wondering if i could put some MG seed starting mix on top (since it seems like it has little ferts). the npk of the MG seed starter is .05-.01-.05. i also opened the bag to see if i could see any time release capsules and for the most part it looks like sphagnum peat moss and perlite. I figure the seeds could establish roots first and then they would grow into the ocean forest where it will then be able to take nutes without getting burned

just wanna know if it would be ok to add the mg on top or if it's actually a dumb idea. May seem like a silly little thought but i just wanted to get some input on the matter.

If those soils were meant to be mixed, then they would have been sold in the same bag. What you are attempting to do will cause god to die and fall out of his volcano.

Seriously tho, you are actually asking if its ok to sprinkle some potting soil on top of a planter as opposed to mixing it up? How many people did you ask before you figured out which hand you should put in your pocket?
