FF happy frog and molasses questions

hey guys so im reading more and more on this happy frog, im interested in if this is better then ocean forest or how the happy frog gets used compared to light warrior and ocean forest!??

and i kno i always use molasses in flower, but does anyone use molassess during veg at all?

yes.. I use molasses in veg, but sparingly - every other water. But molasses will drop ph so watch out how you do it. I only go 3ml per gallon

basicly just keep it smaller then a flower dose and just to feed the microbes wen ur not using the nutes

I used a bottle of "Hy-Brix" I wasn't impressed with any results.

molassess is used to feed the microbes in the soil, and in flower it packs on good weight to the buds ^^ its a way of feeding plants without nutes and givin it the essentials

thats why im interested in knowing if people use in veg, instead of using the nutes at low dosage or if it all makes the plant thrive together, my plants grow perfect im just interested in veg microbes!

i heard it can strengthen the stem and make the branches bigger in veg with mol. i think im gonna use low amounts just to feed the microbes in the soil

I use molasses the whole cycle. 1/2 tablespoon/gallon every other in veg and 1tbs in flower. Like someone said it feeds the organic microbes which then feed the plants. I use hybrix and have always liked it. I have always used it so I don't know what it is like without it. My crops always smell real strong and have heavy resin and oils which I believe the molasses contributes to in addition to the general soil health. My dad to told me, "I don't grow the plants...I grow the soil." He taught me to grow making amended/super soil and never really feeding except molasses to keep the micro life going. I use Happy Frog for my outdoor super mix cause it comes in 2cuft bags. I've heard ocean is a little hotter out of the bag but personally think it's the same though. Roots organic is pretty good soil too. Much more airy/quicker drainage than FF. I use roots for my indoor mix.

Sorry to bring back an old post, but need to ask..... So,...it is possible to go a whole grow in Happy Frog using only Molasses (no nutes) and have a good harvest?

Without a source of soluble npk that may not be easy but can be done. If you just add a few more things other than the soil and good lightning you can grow in soil with water only indefinitely. That is if you keep the mix active; that means adding compost and/or fertilizers. Molasses does feed the microbes that keep the soil active in a meager way but there’s better ways to use it. Like using the molasses along with compost in an active aerated compost tea. I suggest getting something like liquid fish along with a big bag of worm castings so if your plants get pale and/or have been in the same pot fir awhile you can provide fast soluble nutrients. Consider adding a slow release fertilizer like cow or chicken manure to your soil before you add the plants to sustain them longer than happy frog would otherwise. Lastly your water source could determine how long the soil will stay active. The cleaner it is the longer your mix can sustain plants.
Start off in a small container and pot up regularly. Use the soil as is for seedlings and add fertilizers in the container for later stages of growth. Adding some granular mycorrhizae in the hole at each transplant will assist with absorbtion and overall health of the plant and the soil. If you just take care of the soil then all you’ll have to do is water your plants.

Happy is a good starter for seeds and clones and mixing with ocean forest as the plant develops. 75/25 happy after 2 weeks in veg then 50/50 while graduating pot size to 25/75 then you can add amendments to ocean forest to flower. Check out youtube Master Mark super soil. He adds Pumice stone 20%,Worm castings 20% and biochar 20% to 40% ocean forest. feed with top dress and tea.
