i havent started growing yet ive just gathered most of my supplies recently and im almost ready to begin my adventure lol but first i have a few questions


1.i currently have 5 23 watt 2700k cfls. how many more do i need to veg about 3-4 plants?

2.how long does it take for a plant to show sex? im using bag seed so i plan on planting about 7-8 seeds so i hopefully get a few females. will i need more light to support the 7-8 plants until they show their sex or should however many cfls i get to veg the females once i dispose of the males be enough to support all of the plants until they show sex.

3. i recently purchased some gh flora bloom and flora grow and i was wondering how do i go about mixing my nutirents? im guessing i dont follow the bottle?

4. where can i purchase and was is the name of the fixtures that hold multiple cfls ive seen some that hold like 6-8 before on one fixture?

5. how can i make a good reflector for the cfls?

First off...you have the wrong lights...you need 6500K...not 2700K...those are used for flowering stage. Having a 1 2700K is ok...but you want to concentrate on the blue end of the spectrum...get the 6500K DAYLIGHT.

Second...for that many plants...cfl's are a waste of your time, you need on an average of 5 cfl's per plant once it gets any size at all, so you'd be looking at ALOT of bulbs....your better off to get a 400W MH/HPS.

Genarally you can't start to tell the sex untill you either induce flowering, or you let it go till it starts to show preflowers, usually around the 4th week of vegging...don't forget though...it's 3-4 weeks for seedling stage...and then the vegging stage starts....about 3-4 weeks of that you will start to notice preflowers.
