Few quick noob questions

I dont have any pics at the moment but my two plants are about 12 1/2 inches tall and im wondering if I should start flowering. I have one 400w HPS light, is this enough for two plants or should i get a few cfls on the side? I havent fed them any nutrients yet but i have fox farm big bloom, any help is appreciated

your choice..ppl do it at 12 inches but they also do it at 20 inches or more...just depends on how much you want out of the plant.

That light is definitely enough for 2 plants (it could definitely handle 4 full grown females...or like 20 if doing SOG). And for future reference, you should start at least 4 plants rather than 2 (starting only 2 might give you both males which would suck).

You can start flowering any time now. If you have height restrictions then you should probably start now. If not, top or FIM the plants and let them get bushier and taller. They should receive nutes after about 4 weeks... so how old are they? And you should get the other corresponding fox farm nutes (big bloom is meant to be used with the other two that I can't remember the names of right now).

oh sorry i forgot about your other questions...2 plants? you dont need any more cfls that should be plenty big and fox farm bloom is a great choice..probably the best you can find...good luck.

thanks guys, there about 6-7 weeks old. I only started two since its my first time didnt wanna overdo it just wanted to get a hang of things, thanks for the advice tho guys gonna hook the hps up

6-7 weeks? Those things need some nutes for sure. At 1/4 strength of what the bottle recommends!! That's important!! Otherwise you'll give them serious nute burn.

And if I understood that right, does that mean you weren't using the HPS until now? If not, what were you using?

Yeah im hooking up the HPS now ive been using a few fluro tubes for the vegative growth
