Few questions.....

Whattup RIUers! I have a couple quick questions regarding my 1st grow. I have some plants that im about to flip in less than 2 weeks. I started half of them in living organic soil that I built and the rest are in Roots Organic bagged soil. My plan when starting was to do half of them just water and the other half were getting Botanicare organic bottled line(PBG, Liquid Karma, and Silica Blast). Unfortunately I made some mistakes with my my living organics soil and make a long story short........i have been giving all of them the liquid nutes and eventually transplanted them all to Roots Organic. For the most part they look amazing.....but I want to get everything dialed in B4 flip. Next cycle I plan to try living organics again.
1. When I started this I purchased PH and PPM meters however they came defective. I havent been doing anything for PH since I started. Other than some leaf curling I havent noticed many issues from the PH(with my noob eyes of course). At this point I would like to get a hold of it before i flower. I was goin to go shopping for some test strips today(cuz im broke and cant afford a pen ATM). My question is if my PH is off what organic options do I have to raise or lower it? I knw this isnt something living organics deals with but Id rather ask in the Organics forum.:bigjoint:
2. I was hoping to do a top dressing before flowering and wanted to run it by yall. I got it from a buildasoil blog.
For every 5 gallons of soil:

3 tblspns Kelp Meal
2 tblspns Fish Bone meal
4 tblspns Gypsum
2" EWC on top layer
I also wanted to add some neem meal cake but Im not sure how much(i have a small gnat problem ATM that I dont want to go into flower with)
Any help would be much appreciated. Happy safe growing to all of you!

i'm not sure what to tell you about the Ph... still trying to sort out the scenario in my head lol.

as for the topdress... i would make the topdress mix in a bucket, and get it mixed immediately and lightly moisten it. i would also include some drainage material in that mix just to help with watering in, and I would add oyster shell flour to help with your ph into the topdress. neem seed would be fine to topdress 2tbsp for each container. i've heard of ppl getting light burning with the neem as a topdress so be careful.

but definitely get that mixed up and breaking down asap IMO...

That ^^^^^^

You need a liming agent and gypsum ain't it. I use gypsum, but not for pH. The Oyster shell flour is fine, or dolomite, or calcitic (Ag), lime. But get a liming agent in there and be not concerned with pH.

Yeah, I had good sucsess with regular *light* top dressings of neem this past season. A handful + every 2-3 weeks for a 5 gal bucket.

leaf curling probably from being overfed, roots is a pretty good mix on its own, but if you are feeding on top of it, that would explain the curling.
as far as the ppm and ph, i'm no help there, I don't bother with either.
If you make the soil mix the right way, ph won't be a factor, but if you assemble it wrong, it may never be correctable.
I also have better luck transplanting about 2 weeks prior to flowering and simply giving them enough amended soil to just do a water only, I prefer that method to topdressing.. topdressing isn't as effective in my opinion, not to mention having a topdress full of organic nutrients is a great way to get those gnats interested...
but as far as a nutrient mix of just kelp and fishbone meal, you'll be missing some good stuff.
neem meal, crab meal, alfalfa meal, and oyster shell flour.
I would add those
