Fertilizer sticks?????Advice needed

I'm gonna be away from my girl for a while and she's flowering outside and I'm really concerned about my itl gettin no nutes......
I found these fertilizer sticks that I guess are slow release nutes the NPK
is 10-10-4 I would think these aren't that good for flowering but better than nuthin??? Anyone ever use these damn things???

DO NOT TOUCH these things. When I was a noob I stuck some in the soil of my girls - one promptly died, roots got burnt by a hotspot of fert.
