Fertilizer idea, what do you think?

Hey guys i have this stuff called osmocote slow release fertilizer. It is a 14-14-14 base of nutrients. What i did today is took maybe a 1/3 cup full, choped it up, and spread it near the base of my plant (outdoor grow). Then after that i watered it. Btw my plant is 5 feet tall, 3 feet wide and was planted in may. - see attachment (:

Has anyone used osmocote? Is what i did going to benefit my plant?

Hello Iheart, your plant, (an indica), will be OK with the afore mentioned nutes. Since it's an outdoor/in the ground grow, small chance of any toxic effect from this strange all purpose brew, but that formulation is surely less than ideal for cannabis. Also, I believe that stuff shouldn't be broken up, because it's time release coated. You might consider investing the price of an eighth of mids, in some canna-specific nutes; the payoff in a superior harvest is well worth it.

No, a plant that size, in open ground can hold her own quite well. It's just that by crushing the pelletized nute, it was probably a pretty concentrated rush of NPK, but again, nothing a girl of that size can't shake off. I would clean her skirt a little, those bottom branches need to go, at least 2 levels, they're called "suckers" for a reason.......BB

i used it on my outdoor grow aswell, my plants loved it... all up to the flowering stage and harvest... the buds where very dank, and big beautiful budz... i would boost up the npk if i could, but its what osmocote made.. ;) it works very well
