Fertilizer Analysis

0.15 - 0.05 - 0.10

This is what my MG vegetable-Flower soil contains. (I know MG is not the best comments telling me that, will be ignored)

The soil says it will feed for UP TOO 3 months, So I figure, if I veg for a month Ill be able to FLush before my plants are ready for harvest...

I was wondering if any one could tell me what nutrients are in this soil.. I've looked for some time now, and can only find "0.15 - 0.05 - 0.10"....

This is the link to the soils page.

Is this a terrible "analysis" for cannabis???

I also found some fertilizer sticks my mother had left over from her gardening

The sticks are "Jobes fertilizer spikes" "for beautiful house hold plants"

13-4-5 is the analysis on the back.

States "total nitrogen 13%
2% nitrate nitrogen
2% Urea Nitrogen
2% "other water soluble nitrogen"
7% "water insoluble nitrogen"
Phosphate 4%
Potash 5%

Will these work for once the soil has ran out of its internal nutes?q

I don't like the sticks, because they are dissolved by moisture, and if you start to see a burn, you can't pull the soggy remains of the stick back out of the soil to prevent further feeding.
I don't think that it is so much WHAT is in the MG that people complain about, but how much.
Regardless, if my plants were anything to judge by, you'll probably be able to start feeding around day 25-30, but I started before she showed any signs.

Again, all 3 of my last plants were started in MG moisture control soil, with no burning.
I even mixed in MG perlite without reading the bag, which says it also contains nutes.

Yea i didnt know previously to not have the soil completely MG... supposed to mix it with natural compost it says.. I will do this for the next one, as I dont want to disturb the big plants roots since I will be flowering soon.

The others, I will be replanting in a mixture of the soil.

Yea it was a stupid mistake and should have been common sense to not give it completely Pre-nuted soil... but o well.. lol

As for the sticks,

You say you dont like them bc they get soggy and cant pull them out, couldnt you dig them out if you had to? kinda like you pic the little nutrient balls out?
Kinda take a spoon to that area of the soil and flush once yuo get majority out? Dont suppose that would work?

You think I could crush down the sticks, and have it disolve into water, and give it to the plants through that process?

As for their analysis, would you say its decent enough for a cannabis feeding?

Tomorrow I will cut the lights off at 7pm and start the 12/12 cycle.

From using the MG sticks on my first outdoor plant, they get mushy after a couple weeks of being in the soil, but I guess you COULD pull them out, as long as you can remember where you place them.
IDK how dissolving them in water would work, since they don't 'fall apart' as soon as you water.
The other thing with them, is I don't like the idea of the nutes being concentrated in the area surrounding where you place the spikes, and relying on it to flow through the soil.
The analy. is OK, and I was mistaken, I didn't realize you were already IN the soil.
How old are they again? These are the plants you were talking about in the other thread?

yea I have 5 plants. one month and a half, others 13 days and 9 days.

and them getting "mushy" is due to them slowly disolving as the water in the soil makes contact.

with that said, I assume if you take part of the stick, drop it it a cup, it will soon get "mushy" n soon later be disolved.

this is completely speculation of course since.ive.never done it but it works with.asprin in the.human body... lol

Ya, give it a shot.
My concern with that though, would one stick be like a tsp/ gallon? Or how would you determine quantity of the 13-4-5.
I guess you could try like half a stick per gallon the first time, and if you don't see any burn issues, try 3/4 stick the next.

well, the sticks say they can feed for up to 60 days. assuming a three day watering schedule, 1 time a week feeding?

once I'm not so high, and have to do it, I can do the math on 1 week feedings.

half stock, 30 days, 1/4 stick 15 days..

don't think thatd work?
