Fert. question / root problem.

I am aware yellowing to diminishing colour can be do to a number of things, but maybe it is a phoesph. deficiency. just looking for a good fert. also a good fert. for flowering / growth / for some reason on one of my plants it seems the roots are growing back up i just covered around the plant with more of the dirt, did not get too worried about it. And they are also around 15.5 inches.

Oh, and also the leaves are all either light green and some are dying. plants do not look like they are on death's doorstep but they are just droopy not dark green.

gonna need some pics...but it sounds like your plants need to be repotted, and are prolly hungry..what kind of soil you using, light...not alot of info here, but for nutriens there is a wide selection, FoxFarm, Botanicare are a couple commonly used..

Using a 400w hps light, i know some think mh is better for veg. also i know it is not the pot because they have five gallon buckets for the pots. About five inches from the plants, the light is. pictures will be up tomorrow, i am beat. also they are still growing slow even though they are over a foot now, i think i need a really good fert.. but i just never know what one. the soil is organic. may be a ph or maybe they need nutes., i have no clue!

12" and never had food, brand of nute is up to u most people here use fox farm, i use CANNA

Can someone just link in a good fert.? i looked at fox farms. but i know nothing about them.

Asking what fertilizer is best is like asking what sports team is best or if Ali was better than Tyson .... you will receive a billion opinions. Fox Farms is as good as most and better than many ... that is all the more I will say about it.

I know people might get angry with me for advertising Miracle Grow but I have used it in the past and had great success. but if you don't have a local hydroponics retailer to get FoxFarm -- then try MG fert, I used to use this stuff for vegging and flowering, and never had a problem. The thing that makes so many people dislike Miracle Grow is in part because most use the regular formula and it is somewhat harsh and unforgiving. If someone has no other option than to use Miracle Grow fertilizers they should use the Tomato Formula during the vegetative growth phase and the Bloom Booster formula during the flowering phase. Even then they should tread somewhat lightly, but yes it will work and it can work fairly well.
