Feminizing Seed Spray - Advice?

I just took PPM reading from them and there is definitely a lot of something in there.

Part A Silver Nitrate was 484PPM
Part B Sodium Thiosulfate was 4520PPM

So its in there and didn't work for some other reason, or there is something else in there (which seems unlikely).

Cheers. That's the way to check it seems. Unfortunately I don't have sulfuric acid lying around haha
I searched Bunnings for availability of Sulphuric Acid for you, but just got generic "acid" results. You could try trawling through the results of a similar search. 'Pretty sure I've seen it somewhere in the big green shed.

Failing that, chemical/lab supply mobs would have it, but it might not be a mail-order thing as it would be considered DG.

Good luck!

Seen lots of boron deficient breeders claiming their males were sterile. No shit?
Boron, like zinc, is an often overlooked micro-nutrient imo but I didn't know it was related to the viability of the pollen. I'll add a bit of both during veg and flowering periods just to make sure they get some at all. A little selenium as well.

Interesting.

Well, the STS doesn't seem to have worked for me at all.

I first applied it on August 18 to three plants (4 days before flip), then applied it every four days until September 4, after which I applied it every three days until afew days ago. It was eleven applications in just over 4 weeks with no results. The branches I applied it to are pushing out female flowers just like the rest of the plant. No difference. I'm not sure what went wrong. I followed the directions and other tips I found online. I completely doused the stems and nodes each application to the point it was fully wetted and running down the branch. And I increased the strength of the STS (less dilution with water) for the last week.

Could the STS spray I bought be dodgy? I stupidly bought a pre-made Part A + Part B STS Spray from ebay (OzSTS), after which I realised I could buy more silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate than I'll ever need for less than I paid for the pre-made spray. Yep, I'm an idiot.

Whatever the reason..its a bit annoying. Not the end of the world but it was a waste of money, and I'm going to have to risk one more seed purchase from overseas now. Fantastic! sigh. At least I can get some genetics that a prefer.
The two parts should last for a long time until mixed to produce the final STS. I made up two 500ml brown bottles of each back on Jan. 29 /20 and still use it. I'll mix up a 500ml bottle of STS for spraying and that's about enough for one run so start with a fresh mix for each. I'm spraying a couple of Cherry Noir plants right now and they just got their 2nd spray last night. These were plants I had out in the wife's greenhouse and started flowering on their own a few weeks ago so hopefully they work. Each plant is from a different mother so I want to cross them and make S1 seeds with each.

I've doubled up on the amount I use when I mix the STS and still don't see any real damage being done to the leaves like some I've seen posted. I add a few drops of blue Dawn dish soap to the STS so it sticks a bit better. I also got one of those pump-up sprayers made for BBQs. Has a nozzle like a spray paint can and seems to spray much finer droplets tho I have no idea if it makes any difference.

7/7 plants I've sprayed all gave good pollen.

Battery acid is sulfuric and can be got at auto supply stores or pop the top off a car battery and suck a little out. The lead contamination shouldn't affect the test. Could just put a little of the silver nitrate sol'n on your skin and it should turn black. It's pretty dilute tho so may not react with skin enough.
