Feminized seed repotting

Hi fellow growers.

I'm about to start a new grow, but for the first time I want to try out feminized seeds. So far I've only planted autos and directly into 5gal pots from the start.

1) Do I have to use the papertowel method or can I just soak the seeds before putting them in the medium?
2) Should I plant the seed in a small pot, and the repot into something bigger after X weeks?
3) Whats the ideal amount of times I should repot and what size pots should be used before the final potting (e.g. 7gal)?

Take the seed, take either rapid rooter or 4" inch pot or solo cup. Fill with dirt stick seed in the dirt and water. Place a dome of some sort over until up and out.

Transplant is not needed. Fem are no different than any others. I suggest a plug of starter mix or an inert medium in the middle of your final pot if starting in it. Prevents burn before plant gets started. Most people's issue with starts.

I've never grown in soil, but with coco I always went from a starter plug to a 4" rockwool cube to the final pot, which was usually 3 gallons. I kept them in the rockwool for as long as possible, mainly because it was more efficient to feed them.

Some say this and that about transplant. Lateral root branching i feel is BETTER when you move from a smaller container to a larger pot.

Your solo is the plug - a couple of tru leaf sets and you are ready to up pot.

Solo - 1 gallon - 5 gallon
Solo - 3 gallon
Solo - 5 gallon

or even seed to “ final size “ container - even tho many say no its fine. However the less you stress it the better. You can just dust your “ transplant plug “ with some myco to temper shock and bump its rooting.

Rooter plug was mentioned- that is another easy way too. Take rooted plug from tray and tranplant into 1 gallon - let her rip.

Fems, reg and an auto. Water germ. 50/50 coco starter mix, 50/50 potting mix/coco. And will be full soil mix when I go to 3 gallon pots. Very reliable in my circles.

Do as you may. Don't over water and be gentle!
