Feminized seed problem

I have been having problems with some feminized seeds that my buddy and I ordered. So far I am 0-3 on the seeds coming out male. My buddy has grown two of them and they both came out female. I am not sure if it is a bad batch, or was shipped regular seeds, or maybe something in my process that I am doing to stress them into male.

I am growing them in a DWC setup using Botanicare nutes. Lighting has been under CFLs at 20/4. The plants themselves have been really healthy, so its not like I have not given them what they need to grow. The only thing out of the ordinary that I have been doing is using lime juice to reduce the PH level. I have read that others have used lime juice to lower PH, so not sure if that is the issue, and I also have two Purple Jems that I am growing and both of them are female (and have used lime juice with them).

So, any thoughts on why I seem to be producing males with feminized seeds? Is it just bad luck?

no idea. but just use one of ur males pollen and pollenate a couple female buds. you guys will have a good amount of seeds to work with for ur next grow, more seeds, the more chance u will get females.

who did you order from. you should also take pics of the seeds and send them to the place you ordered from just tel them your fem seeds arent females and leave it at that.never tell them your growing

something you are doing or where you got the seeds. 99% sure its operator error.

Yeah, that's what I did with the first male. Plenty of pollen now....

Yes, that is where I would say that it may be something I am doing. BUT, my two PJs are growing fine and both female. Same process, same nutes, etc.

well feminized seeds dont come out 100% female, i found out of 5 seeds that are "feminized" 1 is usually male so a 20% male rate on feminized seeds. this number can fluxuate though. i always thought myself this "feminized seeds" are bullshit. out of the 4 plants i ever grew i had 3 female and 1 male. I think if you keep soil pH acidic it encourages female development. so i keep my pH around 6.3 during veg then 6.5 flowering.

SEED banks fault.
I have grown out thousands of female seeds over 15yrs and only experience 1 PURE male.
PH on its own WILL NOT create a swing to male (or vica versa), you need to alter a few other factors too.
Lime juice/citric acid is the organic PH down it's better for plants than standard PH down (Phosphoric/nitric acid)
It aint anything you are doing.
20% males in female seeds...... lol na.... think that claim maybe user error
And just a point about ATTITUDE..... they give out just as many shite seeds as everyone else. BIG COMPANY MORE ROOM FOR ERROR.

Damn thats crazy i got 100% female rate from attitufe...as of now,but i know that these are humans and they can make error also.

I'd say they gave you regular seeds, instead of fems. I REALLY doubt you could turn feminized seeds into full males, no matter how bad you stressed them, or whatever techniques were used, especially 3 in a row. Yeah, I'm pretty certain someone made a mistake, and you ended up getting regular seeds.
