Feminized seed making...

So in the near future I’m gonna give a go at making some feminized seeds. I got this for when I’m ready and noticed it’s 500ppm. Now the videos I’ve watched on the topic guys were using 50ppm. Obviously I’m gonna have to dilute and I think I’m to use distilled water correct??

You should look at these threads instead of watching youtube videos if you haven't already. Much better information on how to do it. I've heard mixed reviews on purchased colloidal silver with numerous stories being unsuccessful. It's easy to make and you can get the materials to make a hundred of those bottles for the same or less than what you paid for that.

Silver thiosulfate "STS" is a much more reliable way to reverse and requires much less work spraying. You can buy the two chemicals you mix together for $30 and that will make enough to reverse dozens and dozens of plants.

Regardless, you have that already so use it. 50 ppm sounds about right.

Many times. Here's a couple females I performed a sex change operation on. STS method.

I use the CS method, but @xtsho has recently enticed me to try the STS method. Unfortunately, it's hard to get deliveries lately due to the pandemic, so I'll have to wait a little while. I do make my own CS.

I used to keep the pollen and pollinated plants in my production tents, but over the last year, I've purchased new veg and flower tents specifically for pollen and pollinated plants (and other random experiments I do from time-to-time). Far less risk of pollinating plants you don't want seeds in.

If you don't have separate tents, just be very careful. Remove the pollen plants to a closet away from the grow room for their last couple of weeks until they dump pollen. Carefully use a tiny paint brush or Q-Tip to apply pollen. Blow off any excess, then carefully put the pollinated plants back into the flower tent, against the edge, farthest away from any fans you have.

Also, mixing your pollen with 2/3 baking flour helps prevent floating pollen. It binds really well to the pollen and makes it heavier.

I only make fem seeds to give to friends. I run regulars myself because I want males for pollen to make seeds of the strains I grow. I run different strains each grow. IBL's and landraces.

I keep them in the flower tent but remove them before the pods open. Then I move them to another room and collect the pollen. I usually cut the tops off and put them in water over a plate so as they open I'm collecting the pollen. I usually only do one reversal at a time so I just put it in the spare bedroom and close the door. But I'm doing a couple different strains here shortly. A landrace Northern Afghanistan and a cross I made of White Russian + Ketama.
