Feminized seed genetic variation

I'd like to make some feminized seeds for the strains I have in case my clones ever fail, or if I wanna give a strain a break without loosing the genetics. I'd use colloidal silver on a portion of the plant to produce pollen and then fertilize the rest of the plant... My question is: will the seeds all be genetic clones of the mother plant, or will they produce seeds with multiple different phenotypes?

Thanks! That's super interesting, I would have thought they'd be clones of the mother plant since it was only her genetic material that produced the offspring. I guess it makes sense though since she has recessive traits that she doesn't necessarily show that could be activated so to speak when she fertilizes herself. Guess animal planet lied to me when they said the offspring of that fish which can fertilize itself are exact clones of the parent. Now I'll have to look into back breeding to try and get a more stable seed outcome.

No, common misconception. You will still see variety, whether it's better or worse is up to you. But you will also find plants very similar and possibly better.
