Feming or pruning /topping

When is a good time or how old should a plant be when you start to fem or top and does it hurt a plant to fem all the branches?

The word is actually "fim", not fem. Fiming will give you four new nodes, while toping will give you two. You actually get about the same yield from either, from my experience. I do mostly fiming (tent grow) and I do either when I see the 5th or 6th node show up. The plant is usually about 12" tall at that point. I do it one more time two weeks later. Hope that helps! Peace

I topped this plant at day 21. 2015-05-11 02.00.14.jpg

4 days later, you can see it already recovered nicely 2015-05-15 02.46.05.jpg

This picture is one day after the second pic. You can see it has recovered wonderfully and is growing like crazy 2015-05-16 22.06.07.jpg

So you can FIM or top when very young. I like to top or FIM around the time the plant is the size in the first picture, which gives it plenty of time to recover so i can top again.

And even at day 26 its small for its age because it was stunted as a tiny seedling

I don't like cutting shit if I don't have to. I just LST and get big bushes going into flowering.

Bend the plant, don't break it haha.

Topping a few times, as well as LST will help your yield out in the long run by alot man.
