Fem'd seeds showing male traits?

Hey guys,

I'm one week into flower on my second grow and this time I used all feminized seeds. I have 9 plants growing under a 1000 watt hps for flower. All are showing sex because I used bud blood and for some reason 3 of the 9 have balls and no pistils... I thought their may be a chance of getting hermies but not obvious males... Any idea as to why this happened? Could cold temps influence stress on the plants?

i have read this many times on this site. i have never grew fem'd so i dont know 4 sure. but i think a few of the older growers say even fem'd seeds aint 100%, they r kind of a rip

agreed with above, but i would have thought it your way OP. I always knew that hermies were a % chance (% depending on how the fem was produced) but as for an outright male thats new to me. If i had to take a guess, i would bet it was a shipping mixup and you got a normal pack. may have happened if you got a 10 pack (as the wrong one could have been grabbed) or it was an employee error when actually retrieving the item or whatnot. Either way total bummer man, sorry to hear about your bad luck. Who did you use by chance?

-edit- as for temps effecting it, sure. but it wont straight cause a sex change, just hermie. nothing i know could turn a fem seed INTO a 100% male, since it never technically was one (a fem seed contains zero male genes).

I'll wait until I confirm 100% they are male tonight, they are purple kush supposedly.
