Must say that plant is almost as big as the shed next to it! Like wow!

Notice a few smaller potted plants, clones for next grow or saving the genetics?

Pinching the stems is my new pruning, i top, i lst then i pinch and bend till flowering. Is amazing as i pinch and bend they are straightened up by next day, really keeps them short and bushy. Had it not been for this thread i would have just dismissed this technique but it is a necessity on all of my plants and pushing yeild up a small amount too. Peace

those little plants are WHACK. i started them from seed back in june. i had 2 holes left in the ground to fill and they were to go in them. damn things won't grow. they've been that size for 3 weeks.

i'm at a point where i have lost control of this plant. it needs to be supported and trimmed, HEAVILY. the inside growth is thick and small. hundreds of little branches that could be removed. she is just starting to go into flowering mode so now is my last chance to do anything about it. i may take my chair and a pair of scissors and sit down next to her for an hour today. it's gonna get messy otherwise.

dam,that is alot of trimming to be done,have fun.

No doubt i just harvested a lb and my back is killing me took about 26 hrs all together. I bet those monsters outdoors will be a real pain.

So what is the main aim of the pruning, you looking to have some dedicated main colas or just for light penetration or simply to keep her managable, cant wait to see this beast flower, think you might need to move your shed before it knocks it over. Peace

i was discussing the reasoning behind this with my wife while i topped it. the theory is, .. if you trim weaker lower growth the plant can put forth more energy to the remaining growth and cause it to get bigger. i think that's kinda like cutting off your arms in hopes your legs will get longer, but we'll see what happens.

Damn that was a prune and a half, definatly a lot more light penetration now. I always thought that my plant held a lot of nutes in reserve in lower growth but in a healthy plant i see no reason why it would ever need these. The debate seems wide open anyway so who cares, those gona be some monster buds anyway. Peace

next step is setting up my netting to support everything.

Very Nice how to FDD2. I will be doing this to my plants to unless I decide to let them grow and once they get to big for the max size pot that I want to clone them and replace them

Awsome work as always man. I know you won't care much but I have the same composter haha does yours cook decently, or do you have trouble keeping temps too?

i stuff mine with trimmings all year. randomly spinning it here and there. in the springtime i dump it out and till it all into my garden. i don't pay much attention otherwise.
