i'm not smoking much of anything these days after troll neighbors managed to drive me crazy enough to give my apartment up last winter in the middle of a grow other than some sour diesel i tried a couple weeks ago.
i STARTED OUT smoking california grown NY imported columbian gold, though dealers lied and called it thai to make it sound more desirable when the CG high was awesome enough. besides being very visual and sensory with laugh your ass off euphoria, it had a really cool "light and floaty" effect that sometimes made you feel like you're walking on clouds, walking downhill, or that your legs were helium balloons trying to float away and take you with them. i'm positive that's where the term "getting high" comes from. that's what i started out smoking, and yeah, it not only spoiled me when i stopped getting $40 QUARTERS of that and the next summer got nothing but put you to sleep $50 EIGTHS of "red hair" & "skunk" (afghani i'm sure). i was so pissed when i scored one bud of each at around 3 grams total for the $8 i had in my pocket because no matter how much i smoked, i just couldn't get high off it and got more and more pissed and depressed that i demanded my money back.
i've smoked pretty much nothing BUT that same kind of street beaster everywhere i buy weed for the past 25 years except the time i was gifted a bud of durban poison and one of kali mist i gave up bidding on at an insane $150 for an eigth because that's just how hard it is to actually get high, and a couple other times i blazed with hoarders who refused to share their connections.
on my own, i've grown a bunch of "generic hazes" including cinderella, but REALLY like

8 miles high
&
malawi gold
so far as those have been the best highs i've had so far. i've done a fair amount of decent kids out west, but the real good stuff never hits the streets and the grower i GAVE some decent kids to refused to grow them and instead went with all the crappy indicas i gave him instead. WTFf?!
most growers are only concerned with 2 things, yield, and profits. that's backwards! i refuse to ever grow with sodiums again as halides have the full spectrum sati vas prefer as well as allow full terpene expression where the hellish red glow of sodiums (i hate working under them!) is only about simulating sunsets and flowering. YAWN
i prefer quality over quantity every time, and would love to have enough head stash that i could give extra away and let at least a few others experience what they've been deprived of or don't even know exists like my cousin used to when i dissed his "all weed is exactly the same!" indica.
it's hard to get high, and as you can see by all the troll hate in here, others actively don't want you to, and will do whatever to prevent it and get superior competition or at least more demand for better gear. i've told something like 20 or more dealers to go fuck themselves with their inferior indica swag no matter how sticky. i'd rather smoke mexican brick and pop the seeds later. a weak high is still a high where a stone is a no high.
