I did this for a while, 5 days normal eating then 2 days fasting. I still do it when I feel I need to, if I'm gaining a little weight in the winter, or if I just finding myself eating poorly. It's pretty effective, and relatively easy when you know it's only 2 days at a time...Have you looked into intermittent fasting? You should get similar results from lots of little fasts compared to large one
