Hey guys I have never done auto flowering stains but I need some bud to get me through the next couple months so I can cure my other bud properly. what are some good auto strains and what kind of times am I looking at for the entire grow? What are some considerations to take into account when growing autos?

Dutch passion's think different is a good auto strain, northern lights auto is also a good one. Times can varry from 6-8 wks to almost the same amount of time a photoperiod would take, it depends. easiest way to tell would be to check the breeders info on it. Things to take into consideration would be that theres little room to fuck up like there is with a photoperiod. Auto flowers veg for usually about 2-3 wks then they start flowering. You can't top them or super crop but you can LST. Auto flowers can have pretty damn good yields but you must cause as little stress to the plant as possible. Start your seed in its permanent home, no transplanting or anything that would induce stress and take away from bud development time.

8 weeks if you are desperate , most take around 10 to get right , world of seeds afghan kush ryder is a kick in the balls and pretty fast , sour 60 just from what i messed with them are pretty damn fast ...... barneys sweet tooth auto is some good smoke big plants and can come down around 9 weeks if youre in a bind .....
females show sex around 21 days ( preflower ) then will continue to veg for a few more weeks , just FYI if you feed them bloom nutes around preflower the plant will finish quicker but will also be smaller

Thanks for taking the time to answer and yes I was considering northern lights. Very informative and Like I said the main thing is to be able to slow cure my GDP and Blue dream I'm going to be growing.

Oh very cool thanks, I am getting a massive xml650 grow light from advanced that I'm told is equivalent to a 1k hps (we will see) will the autos take as much light as I can throw? I know need to start them with the 10w crees all the way down but I wonder how quickly I can crank up the power on them. I had an xml350 but it had problems and went back the same week and upgrade should be here friday. I was not considering autos at all so I know little about them other than they don't need 12/12 and now that you cant fim and top them.

just lst is all they need to bush out .... try and get everything in position before flower sets in ....... you can start them under full power lights just pick it up a little most people that grow only auto's and have one room have staggered plants under one light .... personally ive grown many this way just pop a bean every week or so and im chopping a plant every week or two its kinda nice to just need one room / light from start to chop ...... start off easy on the nutes 1/4 str and work up slowly ......... i would also advise if youre using bag soil like FFOF to cut it down some so its not too hot during the seedling stage i use peat and perlite both are fairly cheap and actually those by themselves work well if youre using a good nute line up ...... try and steer away from transplanting and if you do it has to be fairly gentle they just dont have time to fully recover...... they also can get water logged easy when they are young and it will stunt growth so try not to soak them down before they have roots established they need a dry cycle ... well photo's do too but auto's seem to like the soil a bit on the dry side at first and then after roots are established they can handle being soaked down ...... also the buzz is a little different :D its kinda all the buzz's thrown in one most are kinda speedy/heady/trippy and heavy body all in one .... some of the sativa's with less CBD are just a bit more speedy .... at first its a weird buzz but after you get used to it photo's end up being the weird buzz at least for me anyway i really enjoy the body buzz without the couch lock myself

Good stuff man thanks and I use coco and my grow tent ends up being colder than outside the tent so not too huge of a deal on temp. I use fox farms trio. I have heard with LED to use less nutes so do I need to be using 1/8 because they are autos? Or did you already consider that? As far as light it is a behemoth of a light so I think I should have saturation in the entire tent. By the way my tent is sitting around 59-65 degrees would you say that's optimal? That was with my 350 I'm guessing the 650 will take it up about a bit but I'm going to design a cheap co2 system to drop it a bit.For LST are you talking just tying the little guys down with rubber bands and string/ soft tie kind of thing? I will try some auto seeds on full power and see what happens and keep you updated once I get them. Thanks for taking the time to reply. Do you have any pictures of your autos?

while waiting for my C99s to finish flowering i just this morning harvested a northern lights auto from Nirvana. 63 days from germination to harvest. grew it in a one gallon pot. yielded a little less than a z. i just tried a sample and i'm pleasantly surprised!
it was so easy i wondering if the photos are really worth the extra trouble.

Cool will check it out and yeah I need some bigger pots I think. I think I need to experience autos at least once so I can help the other guys on here like me who need advice. I doubt I will continue with them but I want to see how they work.

i did not take into account for the led's but being in coco i would still keep it around 1/4 to start off ( like if it says this much for seedlings on the bottle then you cut it down and slowly work up you kinda have to read the plants you seem to have a grip on growing im sure youll do fine ) also you'll need a calmag supplement most are cal-mag whores .... and yes i just use cotton twine to tie them down on the main stem around the 5th node IMG663.jpg and then tie the branches down ...... as for pics i'll dig up what i can but to be honest i have a habit of formatting and reinstalling windows pretty often so what i have are whats on RIU after the server swap , lost alot of pics when they changed over and havent been updating too much

Thanks for taking the time to reply and yeah I think I got it now but this is my first grow and I have taking an overwhelming amount of knowledge from it just wish advanced would ship my new light already. So with fox farms , Tiger bloom, grow big and big bud I still need that cal mag sup? And I get what you are saying start with a little and feel the plants out and see how they react to the nutes.

ya you will probably still need cal/mag seeing how the coco is pretty much inert .... there is something about led's that makes the plants drink cal/mag and alot of auto's just are plain whores for some reason
