Hi this isn't a full on grow journal but I thought I would share some pics I took along the way of Fastbuds Smoothie auto and a solo cup grow of Purple Lemonade. This is my first time growing in CoCo coir and I don't think i'll ever turn back. Still working out some bugs with it but I'll get there.

Light: 56watt autocob 24/0 to keep temps up.
Soil: Beatspeat coco coir and 40% perlite
Nutrients: Mega Crop + AN Big bud


Smoothie 24 days above ground. 4 or 5 days after topping

Yea I was pretty happy about it. I wasn't getting these results until I switched up to CoCo. I'm definitely not hitting perfect grows with coco but the weight is there. Really struggle with the start of flower, seems to be some sort of lock out of Maganese I believe. I think it might possibly be a combination of Hard water and Mecrop 2.0 is really high in Potassium.

You know you nees to add extra cal mag when using coco and leds right? Even if you did, MC v2 was supposes to have more than v1 since it was lacking but many don't like v2. I have some of both and still use 2 ml cal mag oer gal every watering from germination to cut.

Yea I think the smaller you go the more efficient. I remember back in the 90's guys bragging up their sea of green style of growing. But the smaller you go the more work and pain in the ass. I think I must have dumped this poor solo cup 50 times.

Thanks for info, should the seed be from Fast buds? As well did you use nutritions? Sorry for my English

I've grown Fastbuds Auto's previously and had excellent success. However, I'm currently growing Pink Lemonade and Chrystal Meth and I'm getting some really odd leaf development. Have you had any issues like that with your FB grows? Ouch that looks nasty. I haven't had any problems with fast buds at all yet. I'm just finishing a seed run I did on another PL reversal and it's been smooth sailing. I'm a little jealous of the purple pheno you have. And that's honestly my only complaint about FB is I shouldn't have to pheno hunt for purple.

I'm no expert on the subject but I think you maybe have some bug issues going on here. Is this happening with both your crystal meth and PL ? If it's happening on both I would be checking environmental and your inputs. Not to scare you, but it kinda looks like broad mite symptoms imo...

Yes, it does look like bugs but it's not. The leaves are mutated for some reason. The purple is fairly common. Check out their Crystal Meth strain. Thanks

Yes, both are giving me trouble. It's been happening since they sprouted. Mutated leaves......WTF? It's the start of week 5 and the bud sites are fine. As long as they're growing and the buds keep developing, I'm going to continue with them. I've never had this problem before.
 
Pretty unlikely to both be a crazy genetic mutation. I'm 100% sure it's not genetics. It looks like something is chewing on the tissue and the twisted leaves really look like broad mites. They wont be visible to the naked eye, you'll need magnification. They are very hard to get a visual on even with a microscope. Keep me posted, I'm kinda interested as to what the root cause is.
