Hi !

Im using a big fan in my indoor closet. It is set at minimum speed, and it moves air reeeeeally nice. Soft and smooth.

but.

i wonder if being most of the day turned ON, non stop, is going to break it down. Maybe explode inside there. Im running a 24/24 cycle, and it needs air to cool down. So i have it like 20 hours ON.

DID ANYONE HAVE A BAD FAN EXPERIENCE? DO FUNS STOP WORKING BECOUSE OF BEING ALL DAY TURNED ON?

thnx!

i run a double honeywell fan on all day ( 20hours) on max speed in my closet both fans never had a problem....make sure your extension cords are not cheep shit and your timmer can handle the fan load, some very cheep timers cant handle fans. I also run a 3rd scrubber fan (S&P) in the same closet 24hours a day!

don't worry about it. in my closet i have an 18 inch lasko pedestal fan on 18 hrs a day and i bought it last spring ('09). i also have an 8 inch vornado desk fan cooling my light and that one was purchased this past feb and it's fine (18 hrs also). i have also had 2 different o2 cool portable fans that run on ac adapters in the room (i moved them to my new tent) and have never had a problem. also had great luck with honeywell fans also. super quiet. don't you live where it gets hot? shit this summer i had a box fan in my window running for 2 weeks straight getting rained on and everything. it literally was not powered off for 14 consecutive days. i probably would get more years out of it if i treated it better but really it's fine.

lol, i do not use them in my grow room for the plants but in my bedroom ive got 3 fans over 2-3 years old that havent been turned off in at least 2 yrs minus 4 hours for a power outage a few months back. So youll be fine. i would not worry at all. you will want to clean them every so often, dust and hair and shit ruins em pretty fast imo.
