Fan leaves at nodes??

Im sure there is a basic answer for this, but i searched a bunch of terms and couldn't find the answer. The plant is growing in the third node (5 leafed fans) The new growth is 8/10 health, node 2 i would say 7/10 and the first node was 6/10 but now i would say 4/10 becuase the leaves have been chopped down to half size because of the massive amount of necrosis.

Anyway, i can see the preflower homologous sex organs (little pointy things on side of nodes) but fan leaves, two fan leaves from each side of the node ( four total, 2 per branch joint) are budding. Is this normal. :peace:

here ya go. the lower leaves are torched because the plant was in horrible conditions in the early seedling stage. the top 4 sets of leaves are from the last WEEK. Also, the root system is about 4 times the size of the plant...

yes that is perfectly normal. Where you have circled at the node will grow into branches containing photosynthesizing but generally smaller fan leaves. Each of those branches will develop into another bud site
