Fan leaf yellowing...is this normal at this stage?

Pre 98 Bubba Kush, outdoors in a 10 gallon pot of FFOF. I have another Bubba and a few other strains but no others are having this happen.

I feed with Big Grow, and learned even a teaspoon a gallon is almost too much, I did get a little burn about a month ago so I backed down to a little less than a teaspoon a gallon, and have been feeding once a week. Again, If I feed it more I start to get burn.

I LST all my plants, so you're seeing all the main stalks tied down with the middle opened up. The fan leaves do get a good deal of direct sunlight. No signs of flowering beginning yet.

So, is there a problem or is this normal (at least for this strain?)

I think your experiencing nute lockout due to salt buildup in your soil. At this stage, your plant should be craving food and water. What's odd is that your getting nute burn from "big bloom." Big bloom is mainly used mainly for the vegetative state, so giving it to your plant at this stage would be like feeding it baby food.. The fact that its hurting your plant and your leaves are turning yellow leads me to believe that your soil is filled with salt and the fertilizer is adding insult to injury. I would check the ph, flush the soil, then add Big bloom + Tiger bloom.

1. Is there a pattern to the yellow leaves (Bottom to top?, top to bottom?)
2. How often are you watering?

these plants are in veg still right? but damn, 1 tsp of grow big to much? i usually hit my girls in veg with 2 tsp a gallon, sometimes 3...but im gonna say go with cosmo advice, flush, and make sure your pH is in range

Water out of the tap is 6.5-7, and I use PH up when I feed to keep it in that range. The burn was maybe week and a half ago, and I flushed the shit out of everything at first sign. This plant had the most signs of burn, a little on one or 2 of the others, and nothing on another few I was using Grow Big with Big Bloom at about half the dosage for Big Bloom, cut out the Big Bloom. I never understood why it's recommended to feed a blooming nute in veg. And everything still in Veg, although the Purple Trash is taking off and getting thick with leaves like it's getting close to flowering.

Yellowing seems to have started low, and is confined to the BIG fan leaves. I soak thoroughly in the morning, and when the temps here are into the 90's/low 100's I have to soak 'em again mid to late afternoon, so watering every day, sometimes twice..they are sucking it up! Again, this yellowing is only on this one Bubba

Tiger Bloom is pretty strong based on last year's experience, and they shouldn't need it until they are a few weeks into flowering....again, based on last year, first signs of flowering were around August 11th

naw you just need some nitrogen, feed some vegg food and she will stop yellowing. won't reverse it but will stop further progression. One of the most common mistakes people make is cutting N at flowering

The plant is eating the stored nitrogen in order to produce buds.

Ohh okay, this makes more sense. I know the temps are high there but soil can retain alot of water. Try this, dont water them for a day or two and do the "finger trick" i.e. sticking your finger about an inch into the soil to determine how dry is. If it's a little moist an inch down, stop watering every day. If its crusty dry, maybe try watering every other day. What happens when you overwater is that you suffocate the plants stomata (mouth/pores) so it cant take in fresh nutrients, which is why it might be rejecting the grow big and showing signs of deficiency (yellowing). If you get the grow big and water it down to make a foliar feed, you may be able to fix those yellow leaves. Put some grow big in a spray bottle with the recommended dose of water, then lightly spray your yellow leaves. This will feed the plant leaves directly so that they dont have to absorb food through the roots. Just make sure to do it early in the day or when its cool. Only do it once a week and lightly spray.

I watered late yesterday again because they were bone dry. Got up today and the two plants that get the sun rays first in the morning were wilting and the soil was dry...so its not overwatering. I'll slowly ramp up my feeding and find the tolerance level. Last years grow was able to take a lot more feeding

reguardless that plant needs some nitrogen.. and it sure looks like its starting to flowering to me.

No white hairs, although all my others had white hairs as clones and still have the odd one. The days here are still too long for vegging. Like last year, I don't expect it to begin until a week or 2 into August.
