Fan leaf or branch?

When pruning a plant. How is veg/flowr times affected by cutting fan leaves to create branches, does this make the plant want to veg longer. or if cut the branches and leave the fan leaves will it veg shorter. Due to the hormones being redirected. im just curious to everyones input.

when you cut any part of the plant, it will stop growing to center the energy on repairing itself, this only lasts a couple of days. Dont cut off fan leaves, cut off the bottom growth to maximize new top growth. The more you clip, the longer the veg, if your waiting for the new growth from topping.
