Lots of different opinions on this subject.

IMHO, I think its best to remove a fan leaf ONLY if its covering a bud site. :hump:

leave as many as u can but if one is blocking light to another branch then u can take one more is better but same with light penetration as well use your best judgement

Thank you guys for your help so far.I think I will wait on cutting the fan leafs until we get a little closer.I read they provide the nutes to the stem so that is more important right now.If the bottom is a few days behind I will take the top off and finish the bottom separately. What do you think of that idea?

How does a plant produce sugars to grow??.....photosynthesis....where does photosynthesis start...at the leaf...so why cut the leafs...leafs are what absorb light to produce the energy to grow foliage and buds...the bud itself does not.....if a leaf can be moved not removed in order for deeper light penetration then move it out the way but do not remove it......if you know how plants work you'll understand this logic

If you must cut any, make sure you don't get carried away. It'll stunt the hell out of them if you cut more than a couple at a time, and if you cut too many, you could have a problem with the buds not filling out fully. I made this mistake once, and ended up with light airy buds.
