Fan carbon filter advice

Hey the way I look at it, if you need a filter then buy something that has been proven. Its all about reliablity. I would have built one, but I was able to get a Can2600 for like 60 bucks. Peace of mind is priceless. I mated that to a small 83cfm fan from radioshack for 20 bucks, there is about a foot of 4" duct and it works like a charm.

seems like you have a real limited space, is there a way to get a bit more room? maybe build something slightly larger?
Is it just a pc fan? I think thats all radio shack carrys. If so It actually works its your only exhaust?

Its a 4.75" fan. that pushes Or pulls 83 cfm. I think it may be a bit stronger than a PC fan but Im not sure.

Correct the radioshack fan is my only exhaust fan. I was suprise at how well it pulls the air through the filter, it dosent sound like the fan is struggeling at all. I was also suprise how little the professionaly made filter restristed the air as well, I was able to blow though it. So far no smell, but Im only on day 8 of flower so we shal see.

If you would like i can get some pics up later If youd like.

you have a small space it should be fine.
I have a radioshack fan and a homemade carbon filter. a 4" exhaust and a 3" intake in a 3x3x7 space, it take's care of the smell unless I open it up. the plants are doing well also.

Does it look like a really big pc fan with a metal housing? I would love to see pics.

How does your carbon filter look? Did your use the pencil cup zen style. Or a tube one.

Im looking at 1 4" for exhaust, and 1-4 one inch passive holes at the bottom 2 1" if I can only fit one chamber into the safe. If I can fit a mother and flower chamber then 3-4 1" passive

The filter dimentions are 6" in diamiter X 18" long, the fan is strong enough to pull through the intake which has part of a motorcycle air filter to keep out dust and bugs. Then pull through the Can filter and ducting and out the fan. keeps the temp at about 85.

Ycan see the intake filter in the last pic on the bottom right of the box. the black circle on the intake from the outside of the box. I cup up 2 papercups on 45 degree angles and electical taked them together.

hope it helps
