Fan and filter setup question...

What's folks opinion on placement of the fan in an exhaust setup? I've been using my fan to pull air through my filter and lights then push it outside. Is that a better setup than having the fan right after the filter pushing air through my hoods to the outside?

I have mine going; Filter> Fan> Light>Exit.

I think this setup is the most common with Cool tubes.

Im using a 400w light and have no heat issues at all Cool Tube is as described :)

I personally would never use the same fan for scrubbing my room and cooling the reflectors. ideally you should have one fan pulling cold/cool air through reflector, then through fan and out of room. room scrubber should be filter>Fan>outside. Make sure your reflectors are air tight so none of the room contaminated air is pulled into reflector and then outside. Fans work better when pulling than pushing imo.

Yeah I have heard this is prefered. My space just won't allow for it unfortunately.

The Cool tube is very air tight, ducting fitting in top of tight layers of duct tape.

Temperatures are great too, I'm in a cold area so might have got lucky

So OP if space and budget allows it and your outdoor temps are already high then you should probably do what this guy says :)
